My Darkest Days, 'Casual Sex'

Have you heard the new My Darkest Days song "Casual Sex?" The song is the first single from the band's upcoming album (due in a few months). The single is available for purchase via iTunes on Jan. 17. If the guitar tone sounds familiar, that's because John 5 is wailing on this track.

My Darkest Days will hit the road with Nickelback, Bush and Seether this spring.

John 5 was on that metal show recently. I thought he was really good. It is a catchy song, but it is not the genre that I would buy or listen to.

I agree this song sounds more like a pop dance song trying desperately to be a rock song.

This is one of the VERY FEW radio rock bands that I dig. They put on a pretty darn good show too. I'd go to that show to see MDD and Bush. But Nickelsack and Seether? UGH. No thanks.....

These guys are a pretty good comedy act, but all joking aside, I get what The Dude speaks of -- too many backing tracks start to become a little too Milli VANILLA for my taste.

p.s. Okay, boyz (and girl, hahaha!!!), some people got New Year's Resolutions but what I got are New Year's Confessions. Look, I realize I can be an a*s, and Metal Lords know, I was ridiculously stoopid sometimes, seemingly randomly singling out bands as crap. Case in point: Nickelback. Not their new crap. Their old crap. My
bud and his bro came over Christmas Eve and asks me if I ever heard Nickelback and I was like, "yeah, yeah, yeah..." and he's like, "How bout this?" and then he slaps it on and lo and behold now we really got somethin' to show).

Hahaha!!! I actually fell asleep in front of the computer and was sleepwriting again. My apologies. I actually think some of Nickelback's earlier stuff almost sounds like Hair Metal and it's awesome! Listen to "Animals" and "Never Gain". Here, I admit it: I thought I hated Nickelback and then I heard those songs. I take it all back, litterally!
