I'm there!

Much better than last years line-up.

Cinderella & Ratt have that star quality so needed for headliners.

However, it doesn't match the wallop of Scorpions as THE Headliner two years ago.

Def Leppard, Van Halen or Crue or somebody would have brought it to that level.

However, as I said, Ratt & Cinderella do it for me. I could listen to 'em all day long. And Dokken, Stryper, Loudness, Lynch Mob and XYZ are the icing on the cake!

p.s. Just wish George could come on stage for a couple with Dokken. That would be HUGE!

Notice how they put Queensryche under Cinderella and Ratt?? I'll bet that Queensryche is the headliner, but for sales pitch purposes, they are listed under Ratt and Cinder.
I am pretty happy with this lineup, too. However, I am a little dissapointed that Def Lep or someone bigger is not headlining. I'm guessing the cost is too much for higher level artists. It would have been cool to have Slash or Accept or Steel Panter

Is there going to be a pre-party concert like last year? I thought I saw someone mention....Where will it be and do we have WildStreet again...please say yes to Wildstreet. Their new video is out today..check em on Facebook.

Not a great lineup to me...don't think this will sell tickets like last year's lineup did.

I hope Stryper gets a good slot on the main stage. It's all 4 guys and they should never play before a band with one member like Dokken or Quiet Riot.

Kix packed the place last year on the Friday. I hope Night Ranger plays before them. Night Ranger and Ryche were a great adds! I'm sure Ryche will do something special...(Empire in full?)

I'm going back this year. It's a good time.

This lineup is SO WEAK!!! So many repeat bands, and yet so many bands overlooked!!

LOVE ME SOME RATT & CINDERELLA ON ANY DAY...but given the fact that I have to travel for this festival, I can see both these bands later in the year in my area.

I guess I was hoping to see bands that I have yet to see and this would be the only event that could make it happen.

I wish em luck on Ticket Sales, it won't outsell the previous 3 years. NO WAY!

I have to be honest... it didn't light me on fire. I'm not entirely sure what it was I was expecting but more than this nonetheless. I'm on the fence about this one.

I have to be hinest... this didn't light me on fire. I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting... just something more than this.

I agree with those that are underwhelmed. There is no wow factor to this. Granted this lineup has a dozen well-known bands, but all of these bands have toured many times in the last decade (and most have already played a M3.) Sure, of course, I will still be in attendance - however, I would have preferred a big name at the top and some intriguing not-always-on-the-road bands scattered throughout the rest of the bill. Give a couple that we havent seen in years and years - a Krokus, a Vain, a Tora Tora .. or introduce us to a few of the hot Swedish bands (although they seem to be disbanding before they even get their shot over here.)

I keep wanting a reason to travel to M3 but this lineup does not make me jump. If I lived much closer then Michigan I would attend and be VERY happy though. Why does Detroit Rock City not have any festival love???

The lineup is solid, but to me theres just no "wow" factor AT ALL like in years 1 and 3. Dont get me wrong, I love almost all of those bands, but to me this festival should bring bands back that havent played forever "like Black N Blue last year" or have some really obscure bands "like Childs Play, Tuff, D'Molls, etc". I wont be making the trip from Cincinnati for this. LAME.

A so-so line up. I think it turned out to be better than I had expected based on the leaks of Quiet Riot, Warrant, and Queensryche. I think all in all last years 2nd stage was stronger (Not that we 100% know who will be 2nd stage this year)with the likes of Lita Ford, PBF, Black N' Blue and Big Noise. I assume the 2nd stage will have Bang Tango, XYZ, Loudness, Lynch Mob and Streetlight Circus... We shall see.

And... YES. There will be a M-Pre Party that I will be putting on this year. It will be on Thursday May 10th 2012. At this point all I can say is that it will at least be as good as last year.

Lame lineup, but I will still go since I jumped the gun and already reserved a room and bought airfare.

I think this is a good line-up, maybe a little top heavy. I agree with who suggested Vain.
I think it is funny that Dokken and Lynch Mob are both playing. However if it was the original Dokken they would more than likely be the headliner.
Still wish they would have a couple new bands.

who's In The Pink?
January 30, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterJimbo
I'm actually very interested in seeing In The Pink. I saw them many, many years ago... can't even remeber where. Many of you may actually know one of their songs... It was actually very popular on the East Coast.

Check them out:

If In The Pink is the same band from back in the day, they are Great! I just picked up their Indy released album from the early 90's and it is just incredible! If that album is any indication of what to expect from them, those who make it over to the side stage (which I find to be a pain), where I assume they will play, will be in for a real treat.

How these guyz never made it, as with so many band's from way back when I am discovering on the net for the first time, is
totally baffling to me, save for the usual theories like Eddie Vedder's role as the Grim Reaper, etc.

And I agree with Kenny O and others in wanting other bands like Vain and the Swedes in the mix (For example, Universal should have footed the bill for Reckless Love to play this gig as they would blow the crowd of D.C. Baltimore Rockers away).

And those on here who have suggested local faves, Child's Play, heck yeah, they would sell tickets. Once again, I think the promoters really could be a little more with it. Time and time again, with the exception of KIX, who I think have really helped this fest's ticket sales, they have dissed local heroes. Charm City Devils (a Child's Play spinoff, actually) anyone?!

Hey, Rock-It, how 'bout gettin' Child's Play OR Charm City Devils for your Pre-Party? Whoever you get, I know they'll be great if they rival Wildstreet. I will be there!

One more thought -- correct me if I'm wrong, but the last time Ratt played here was Pre-"Infestation". If that is indeed the case, I look forward to seeing them perform tunes from that album and not the usual "classics". Other legacy acts, take note, kudos
to Ratt for continuing to make new music (in fact, they've got another new album coming out soon!). C'mon, Cinderella!

p.s. And PULEEZ let Stryper play the main stage, s I suspect they will -- AND Loudness, too, as they will blow the roof off the Pavilion! And if they do put Queensryche in as lead headliner, that's fine -- I can get a jump on the traffic to get the h*ll out of there faster and to the bar sooner! See you kiddies there!
