Have You Seen the 'Motley in Vegas' Promo Clip?

There's a longish commercial/promo clip for Motley Crue's upcoming residency in Las Vegas. The band will take over the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for three weeks next month to do, as Mick Mars says, "whatever they want." I have to admit, I'm concerned with Vince Neil's appearance in this clip. He doesn't exactly look sick, just... off or something.

This will probably surprise no one . . . being the lead singer of "the most notorious band" (a bit of hyperbole if you think about it) has been taking its toll on Neil as of late (the last decade or so).

That look is most likely the result of drinking. While age plays a part, partying plays a far larger part when it comes to how Neil looks and how he will sound during this residency.

Hopefully, the band will be spot on. And, when it comes to Crue, that is almost always an issue related to Neil.

Vince does look bloated. Mick looks old. Nikki looks big. Tommy is still Tommy. Is it true that Vince may be done after this Vegas thing? I thought I read that. .

I don't think Vince looks worse than usual. He's had a bloated look for the last 10-15 years. That said, I think they actually don't look too bad for a bunch of 50-somethings who have done massive amounts of damage to themselves over the years.

I'm stoked! If I had the bread, I would go! I saw 'em this Summer at Outlaw Jam in Frederick, Maryland (with Poison) and they kicked a*s! Vince was actually singing AND the band was firing on all pistons!

Seeing THIS band in THIS setting is a no brainer. The atmosphere and the audience will be electric and THAT will get the band fired up. I wouldn't be surprised if they even start blowing out the set list a little, at the very least, to include the odd single song variant added into the mix.

Look for a "Motley Crue: Live In Vegas" album and DVD early Summer which could also spur a return engagement.

p.s. Hahaha, Batmaniak! Very wry comment! Let's not forget, beyond his weight gain, Vince's facial surgery doesn't help either. Nikki should lose weight also. This will be hard for these characters if they're hangin' in Vegas. If Nikki would just go to the gym every day while there, he would lose it easily. Too many steaks for these boyz has cost 'em, for sure, unlike Tommy and Mick, Tommy because he's probably vegetarian and Mick because of his unfortunate battle with his disease. Let 'em ROCK and, like I said, if I got the bread, I'm there!
