Lizzy Borden Celebrates 30 Years of Metal

For the Lizzy Borden fans, this press alert just appeared in my inbox:

Lizzy Borden’s 30 years of American metal tour is a brand new show, created from the ground up just for this monumental 30 year anniversary. The new show will encompass songs from each and every Lizzy Borden record to date, including classic songs like "Me against the World,""American Metal," "Master of Disguise" plus songs the band has never performed live.

Tour dates/cities will be announced on the band's website. I'm pretty sure this means we'll see Lizzy Borden at M3 this May. You agree?

Saw them at ROK. They were very good. Loved the dancers. M3 would be a great fit. Bring it on

Now we're talking!

Ladies and Crazymen, THIS is Rock and Roll!

The Inimitable Lizzy Borden!

One of the GREATS!!!

Brian L! There you are, Laddy!

See you at M3, Brother!

p.s. Lizzy would be KILLER (almost literally) at M3. And I agree, Bri, the dancers really do add a touch of class to the whole thing.

Geez -- drink much? Let me restate that...

Shawn! Roy! Kenny O! If Lizzy plays M3, can Brian L, Brian C and myself count on seein' you boyz up there?

p.s. Hey boyz -- I saw these guyz in 1987 off "Visual Lies" up in the 'Dena at Network where I shook the man's bloody hand from the stage during their performance. Cut to 2001 when I saw 'em in a tiny (I mean, TINY) bar on North Charles Street in Baltimore!

Both times, Lizzy and his band of merry axemen, plus an insane drummer (in both cases, it was still his brother, if I'm not mistaken) tore the frickin' roof off the place.

p.s. Trivia: Did you know Lizzy is a classically trained Opera singer? See ya there, boyz. First beers are on me, Bros.

Me Against The World. It is one of those few songs that make me want to just slam my head against a wall when it is played....Damn that song just absolutly ROCKS. (as does a whole lot of their other stuff!!)Never was fortunate enough to catch these guys live, which, judging from the You Tube clips and various reviews I've seen, must be a spectacle of epic proportions. Most of their stuff was just made to play live,IMHO.

I got my vaccination from a phonograph needle.

It feels so good, it could be illegal.

I'll never grow up and I'll never grow old.

Blame it on the love of rock-n-roll...

we are, too

Nice, Fletch.

Yeah, Gary, I've got all of Lizzy's stuff and without question, the absolute pinnacle for me, too, is "Me Against The World".

When I first got "Visual Lies", I just played that song to death and never got tired of it. Then when I saw 'em do it live, well, it was just jaw dropping!
