The Darkness, 'Everybody Have A Good Time' -- New Video
Happy July and rejoice! The Darkness just released the video for “Everybody Have A Good Time.”
I'm pretty sure this video uses historical footage of pre-2008 private meetings at Lehman Brothers when the firm was basically guessing what sort of low-grade tranches to package and resell inside of collateralized debt obligations (CDOs). You know, before the entire banking collapse. Of course we can't be sure. At any rate, the video is cute and clever.
The song will be on the upcoming album Hot Cakes, due out at the end of August.

But I have to say: Allyson, have you ever considered joining Duff in bring some economic sense to the metal masses? If people didn't know something, they will now look it up. And if they did, they will be (as was I) grinning from ear to ear at your commentary.
Seriously, the unexpected (and, yes, the expected) is why I love this site, our humble guide, and the legions who populate the posts.
Have a great 4th everyone.
p.s. Circa 1975, that is. Looks like this album is headed to the very top of my list of "The Top 10 Albums of 2012". And the video is sublimely subversive on every level. I've got everything Justin Hawkins has put out on CD, whether it's The Darkness, Hot Leg or his solo stuff, it's all brilliant (well, that second Darkness album was a little spotty). The guy's a genius! The Darkness is the biggest thing to happen to Bring Back Glam! since Buckcherry "Lit Up".
p.s. For a reality check on your dear friend Frank, go to VH1Classic's site and review (as in fast forward through) the episode featuring special guest guitarist, Mr. Frank Hamfiston "playing" intros and outros of the commercial pods of the show. Then go to the episodes featuring Steve Stevens and Michael Schenker as guest guitarists. Not only is he a self important jack*ss off stage, he's a... Well, review the episodes. I rest my case.
Jackyl wouldn't necessarily do it for me but I know of at least one person that regularly comments on Al's posts here, and also occasionally contributes to this site, who would book the second Jackyl might be announced.
Thanks for bringing the 4th of July heads up for new MORC announcements, brother!
