Glammest Video of All Time?
Back in the 80s, comedian Sam Kinison recorded a cover of "Wild Thing" included on the album Have You Seen Me Lately? The song isn't spectacular, but the video is over the top. In fact, it might be the single Glammest video of all time. The clip features members of Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi, RATT, Guns n' Roses, Billy Idol and I don't even know who else. The filming of this clip had to be a party. I'm sure it wasn't "work" if you know what I mean.
You tell me. Is this the Glammest video of all time?

But, I think the glammiest video ever has to be Tigertailz "Love Bomb Baby"...
Pity it almost never got shown in the U.S.

Your comments made me think:
The next time my mom says, "Alcohol destroyed my family", I'm going to quip, "Really??? Al-Anon destroyed mine."
Seriously and Rhetorically, in hindsight, does anyone care that there was a lot of blow during the filming of that video.
Mom: Alcohol destoyed my family.
fletch: "No, you did."
fletch: "No, the Church did."
fletch: "No, Bon Jovi did."
fletch: "No, Oprah did."
fletch: "No, John Bradshaw did." ...I know, I know...who?
fletch: "No, I did."
fletch: "Really? because, alcohol and drugs saved mine."
And that's what also gives this video even more of a Sleaze Metal vibe beyond all of the cameos of the Glammerati of the day.
I videotaped this clip off Headbanger's Ball many times and it must be in my collection of 70 or so episodes at least 10 times. About 3 years ago I bought the original long out of print Japanese Import CD Single to make it the last track on my primary 80's Hair Metal iTunes playlist, "Heavy Roxx", which is 873 Tracks and clocks in at 2.4 Days long with no band represented more than once unless they got a new singer. Interestingly, the mix opens with "Wild Young And Crazy" by Hericane Alice and, as I said, ends with this awesome track.
After permanently ensconsing it in it's conclusionary position on this monumental playlist showcasing what I have surmised to be the Creme de la Creme of Hair Metal from 1981 to 1993 (The Heyday), I then proceeded to watch the video like 50 times in a row on YouTube as not everyone who appeared in the cameos is identified in the Wikipedia entry about it.
I bet Ace and some other superknowledgeable people (Allyson) could identify a lot of 'em.
One thing's for sure, Kinison was a genius and one of the funniest and most Rock and Roll comedians that ever lived. What a sad and bizarre tragedy that took him from us.
And, Kenny, you are SO right -- I was thinkin' the same thing when I saw this post last night (I will, more often than not, read Al's nightly Post right at 12:02 on BBG! before passing out to one of my 80's Hair Metal Power Ballad Playlists as my lullabyes, hahaha!!!) -- "Rock And Roll Is Gonna Set The Night On Fire" by Pretty Boy Floyd is, without question THE Most Glam Metal Video of All Time! Distant 2nd, 3rd and 4th slots go to Poison's "I Want Action", "Talk Dirty To Me" and "Cry Tough", respectively, then followed by Mötley Crüe, "Livewire", Ratt's "Round And Round" and Cinderella's "Nobody's Fool".
Though it is fun to watch, "Wild Thing" is way down the list, yet it is indeed noteable for such incredible 80's Rockstar Blowfest name checking entertainment.
p.s. Thanks, Fletch, for the transcript of Kinison's killarious one liners in the song.
At over an hour long, it's actually pretty tedious to watch except for a few killarious takes of Kristy "Crash" Majors missing his mark and taking a tumble down the angled left stage set wall.
