Queen + Adam Lambert in Kiev = Perfection

Queen played a concert with Adam Lambert Saturday night in Kiev, Ukraine (6/30/12). It's maybe the Glammest thing I've seen in a very long time - and the entire show is on YouTube! Queen + Adam Lambert are playing Moscow tonight. The short tour will also hit the UK and Poland.

The Kiev show raised a ton of money for AIDS Research, which is great news.

Here's the setlist:

2. Keep Yourself Alive
3. We Will Rock You
4. Fat Bottomed Girls
5. Don’t Stop Me Now
6. Under Pressure
7. I Want It All
8. Who Wants to Live Forever
9. A Kind of Magic
10. These Are the Days of Our Lives
11. Love of My Life
12. ’39
13. Dragon Attack
14. I Want to Break Free
15. Another One Bites the Dust
16. Radio Ga Ga

I'm not a "die hard" Queen or Lambert fan, but I think Lambert does the material justice and he brings his own personality to the performance. No one will ever replace an icon like Freddie Mercury, but I think if the band and the fans really gave Adam Lambert a chance to grow into the role, IMO he could really shine as the frontman for Queen.

Gotta agree!

"Tie Your Mother Down"!

Leave it to some old Queens to teach Lambert what real Rock'n'Roll.

Queen + Lambert = Glam Metal

(well, at least the "Pedal to the Metal" stuff like the last four songs of the show. The rest of it is Glam Rock for the ages)

Alice in Chains + GNR = Rock'n'Roll

Aranda + GNR = Generock

(Dude, all the stuff's pretty good but it's a little straight up. Glam Metal is much more outrageous and risk taking than the stuff you're linking in. But at least it ROCKS!

Oh, and your namesake is Glam Metal and/or 80's L.A. Hair Metal of the highest order. Just check out Axl's and Steven's hair, especially, in the official "Welcome To The Jungle" video. I rest my case. Now back to Blabbermouth with ya, GNR.

Once again, Metal(wikipedia)boy slams another user (GNR) for expressing an opinion. Golf clap........

Oh yeah, lets not forget the standard response of "Back to Blabbermouth". Dude, get something better, its played out.

It's terrific that they raised a bunch of money for charity. Didn't really do too much for me though. It wasn't bad it was eh. I think Lambert is more sizzle than steak.
Aranda was alright, more Octane than Hair Nation for those of you with satellite radio.

Jeff -- what exactly is GNR's opinion? He duzn't say anything about Allyson's post.

Then he sends us to a link of boring GENEROCK and asks the question if it's "Glam enough for ya?"

To answer directly, "No it's not."

Hey, Jeff, here's an idea...

Why don't you both go back to Noisecreep since your both too homophobic to comment on this post about Queen and Adam Lambert. Bet you guys are too scared to even look at the concert footage she posted here.

Enuff of the drivebys already!

I saw Aranda at Rock On The Range, and yes, metalboy is right. They are generic with a capital G.

I should have my own website, but its much easier to use this as my sounding "bored" My Google and Wiki skills are UNMATCHED, you are ALL my sheep! Bow down to the Mboy!

Hahaha!!! Jeff! Anytime you want to COMMENT as yourself about what's posted, I'm sure all would love to hear it.

What's the matter? Don't you have your own voice?

faggedaboutit I will speak for EVERYONE! I am Metalboy! and I know what is best for all of you! Down on your knees you sheep! I love exclamation! points almost as much as I love myself.

I would rather see Queen continue, than cease to exist.
Adam is not, nor will he EVER equal Freddie.Nobody can.

That said, "Princess Adam" did quite well. And if it's good enough for Roger & Brian, it's good enough for me. I would go see this version live. Something I just couldn't do with Paul Rodgers.

The Queen is dead, but Long Live Queen!

The only criticism? Adam... For "Fat Bottom Girls", find some "rock & roll balls" & don't try to be so pristine in your delivery. The song is nasty, sing it like it's nasty.

Good show.

Yeah, Rogers just became too GENEROCK to really suit Queen, who's material just plain demands more bombast than Rogers can deliver nowadays, but Lambert has to burn.

Note to Metalboy! imposter, Jeff, who still isn't capable of just giving his opinion about the post at hand and has now resorted to co-opting my name and spewing hateful homophobic language... Dude get an opinion. If you can't handle this concert footage Allyson has so kindly provided, go watch the more boring Paul Rogers stuff on YouTube as that may be more within your GENEROCK comfort level. Or just pack up your Flinstone golf CLUBS to golf claps from the Gallery that's here for the GLAM! And just head on back to the SAFE HAVEN of BLABBERMOUTH, who's name and subject matter better suits you.

God save the Queens! Adam Lambert knows how to rock and the legendary group allows him to shine (not overshadow). He has some big shoes to fill, so let us stand up and salute when that flag unfurls...
