So Saigon Kick Is Finally Reuniting

The original lineup of Saigon Kick will reunite. That means Matt Kramer, Phil Varone, Jason Bieler and Tom Defile are hitting the road soon. It's been 20 years since Saigon Kick performed with all original members.

Guitarist (and off and on SK member) Chris McLernon will also join the band on the road.

The band announced their big reunion with a simple tweet that reads:

"Saigon Kick has reunited with original members Matt Kramer, Phil Varone, Jason Bieler, Tom Defile and Chris McLernon. Dates to follow soon."

I wonder who Saigon Kick will tour with this fall? I'm sure the band will be packaged up on a tour and I suspect it will all happen in clubs. Are you interested in this reunion? I'm intrigued to be sure. If the show comes around me, I'll go.

Awesome! Always thought they were one of the few bands in the 90's that carried the eighties "feel" with progress during the dark days of grunge (as did Buckcherry) The Lizard album and their follow up were solid efforts.

Very stoked for the all original lineup in an original unique band that deserved more!

It's one of those things... they were soooo good back in the day, but can a band like SK just jump back into it after so long and still have the chops and chemistry?

I can see them hitting M3, Rock In America, etc., can't imagine that a Saigon Kick club tour would be overly lucrative in 2013.

Saw this on Twitter and it makes me so happy. The other guys are fine I'm just happy that Jason Beiler is getting back out there and maybe some new music from him. SK was shackled by their power ballad hit. People just focused on that as opposed to their other stuff which was different that many of their contemporaries.

i love these guys i have all there cds, they have very diverse songs some great some not so great but over all very good. i cant belive they actually got back together with the hatred that was being spewed over the years but hopefully they will make there way to my neck of the woods i will def be there.

No matter if I find these guyz EXTREMEly annoying -- for me, they're a Hair Metalled REO Chuckwagon -- but I'm just happy to see a band from back in the day come back, with the original line-up, no less, to make my fellow Hair METALLERZ happy even though this band's music duzn't do a thing for me.

p.s. I own all of their albums, unfortunately, but I won't part with them due to their historical significance. Interestingly, I've only played each one twice, once when they came out and again a few years ago when I revived my quest to find The Best Hair Metal on Earth. Disappointingly, such a quest will not always yield a winner.

I can never get that ballad out of my head to try anything past that... Any recommendations ?

GNR! Ah, I have newfound faith in you, my friend! Not only is the ballad in question, "Love Is On The Way" brainwashing, it's BAD brainwashing!

Glamrocker Arch, I will check 'em out again, Bro. But their singer really duz sing with annoying over-annunciating a la that dude from REO Chuckwagon.

I've got "I.C.U." on my "Heavy Roxx" playlist.

What a great song but imagine it sung by a more Rockin' way less annoying voice! One of these current a*sclown nerd bands should cover it. I bet it would be much better, I'm sure. Still, I am glad to see Saigon Kick back together for those who go for that sort of thing.

Stoked! Saw them during The Lizard Tour. Chicago at the Vic Theatre. It was a great show! Can't wait, I read the bassist has already bailed. WOW! All I can say. Hope this doesn't kill the tour. Hoping they make it to The Windy City!
