Slash Streams New Song

Slash with Myles Kennedy just released a new song online. The track is called "Nothing Left to Fear." The song is from the soundtrack to the film Nothing Left to Fear. The track sounds solid, but doesn't really have that classic "Slash" vibe. I like it, but it's not exactly what I expected. What do you think?

Kind of an Alice In Chains vibe I dig it. Not what i'd expect but its cool.
On another note, like Ghost I mentioned the other day. I'm not sure if Slam Alley have been mentioned on the site. They probably have but if you haven't heard of em check em out. Really cool old school kick ass rock n roll vibe going on.

Miles is a great singer, and Slash is amazing, but, while I respect the diversity of what Slash can do, I don't love this song.

You want derivative, Christian? This is derivative. Slash is a borefest and so is his generic singer.

Therefore, I have classified him as GENEROCK for years.

p.s. I've seen him 8 times, the first in 1986 at G'n'R's last club gig at the infamous Bayou in Georgetown, Washington D.C. and the last in Tampa with a Scott Weiland fronted Velvet Revolver in 2008. Though he's always been a dumbed down hybrid of Jimmy Page and Joe Perry, there's no question his stuff was fairly fresh sounding in the beginning with G'n'R but for the most part is all rehash at this point. Yawn.

Slash just like always still sounds great but Miles "Generic/Boring" Kennedy is just dreadful.
