This Live Clip of 'In the End' Makes Me Excited for Summer
Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 12:01AM
Happy Valentine's Day!
I can't wait to see Black Veil Brides live this summer. I'll be seeing them twice, at Rock on the Range and Vans Warped Tour. Here's a pro-shot clip of "In the End." Just scroll past the interview at the beginning. The video is from AltarTV.
Also, I really love the still picture at the beginning of the clip. I would wear any of those outfits. I'm not sure what that says about me... or the band.

Perfect band for 12 year old girls that shop at Hot Topic and dont care the band cant play live.
No, you're not seeing things when it comes to stage times -- It's the Vans Warped Tour I'll be seeing them on. Needless to say, I think I'll spend the rest of the day either antiquing for 70's Space Age Modern furniture in Atlanta on the 25th or in the case of Florida on the 26th or 27th at the beach afterward, hahaha!!!
And, Sleaze, I'm going with Christian on his assessment of their playing ability live. He saw 'em point blank and told us before they were killer.
I believe him because he usually looks for any excuse to dislike a band, hahaha!!! So if he likes 'em and he likes 'em live, I'm there!!!
p.s. And D.J., don't forget to let us know in two weeks how the show was and if they use tapes or not or in what capacity. Thanks!!!
It's Sleaze Rocker's comments I am referring to above.
Stick to the script, Pal. Just kidding. Still, I look forward to your review and DJ's comments in a couple of weeks. Still, I am baffled at Sleaze Rocker's remarks, as I recall, and you reiterated, that you saw them point blank, "at the front in a sweaty shed and they gave their all."
I guess we will wait until you guys see 'em in two weeks or so to hear the final verdict as I know you are not one to embellish, except when it comes to your beloved Big Four and, oh, what's the name of that other band? Hmmm... Slips my mind at the moment... Hahaha!!!
Enjoy the shows, boys and prove Sleaze Rocker wrong!
p.s. Though I don't want to believe Sleaze Rocker's comments, I do appreciate his humor... "...couldn't tell what was real or what was Memorex" and "Perfect band for 12 year old girls who shop at Hot Topic." Killarious. But, Sleaze, you might want to amend the latter, because, though there might be SOME 12 year old girls who would get into Black Veil Brides, it's actually Justin Bieber they're all over, unfortunately. I'll let you know when I'm dukin' it out with 'em to get down front when I see BVB on the Vans Warped Tour, hahaha!!! Can't believe that's how I gotta see 'em, and at 11 AM or High Noon to boot. One thing ya gotta say about BVB -- they sure are demonstrating dedication, getting up that early to play those time slots. Especially when you consider how much mirror time they need before they hit the stage. "Hurry up, honey, we're running late!!!" Echo... echo... echo...
The band looks cool but are a joke live.
God forbid I disagree with the all knowing Metalboy.
I use to dig them but now Ive lost all respect for them and will stick to my washed up hairbands.
I am aware I'm a mere mortal. Are you saying you lost all respect for these guys because they were using back up tracks?
How come Christian detected zero backing tracks when he saw them not that long ago?
I dunno. If the backing tracks are simply beds of string arrangements, I don't really see the blasphemy you're looking for. On the other hand, if the backing tracks have vocals on them, that's another story.
We'll have to see what Christian and DJ come up with in the aftermath.

If my singer sounded like that, I'd probably just take a header off the front of the stage.
Backing tracks or not, over the top shredding aside, these guys just aren't' good and ARE NOT a "glam" band. Calling them "glam" gives real glam music a bad name. Garbage.
That's a dang funny comment about this kid making Tom Waits sound like Ronnie James Dio, Jason. But reality is, Waits "rough as a washboard scraped across gravel" vocals are way harder to listen to than this kid's.
Admittedly, the Black Veil Brides frontman's singing style is, shall we say, an acquired taste, but he has dialed down the screamo vocals to almost nil and, in the case of this live performance, eliminated them completely.
I would rather classify his voice as unique. I could see it bugging people after awhile but, in the end (Sorry), in post analysis, it never bothered me personally that much.
And as far as the music goes, I think it's great. This song is their catchiest by far and I hear Glam Metal more than anything, but with touches of Nu Metal which keep it up to date.
That said, I'll check the clips.
