This is genius: lullaby versions of our favorite Glam songs! This is perfect if you have a kid... or if you just need something awesome to help yourself fall asleep. The people at Jammy Jams just released Hair Metal Goes Lullaby: Vol. 2.
Some of the songs featured on the album include "God Bless the Children of the Beast" (Motley Crue), "Hysteria," (Def Leppard) and "18 and Life" (Skid Row).
"With their fourth release, Hair Metal Goes Lullaby, Jammy Jams elevates lullaby music to a whole new level of awesomeness. Whether you are a child of the 80s or are shopping for a little one born yesterday, these gentle lullabies will captivate and delight. You have to listen to believe that songs originally performed by heavy hitters like Mötley Crüe or Bon Jovi could be transformed into these incredibly peaceful and comforting arrangements. Like a hug from your best pair of spandex pants, Jammy Jams’ soothing sounds embrace, providing the reassurance needed for you or your little dream warrior to slip into a cozy slumber."

Of all the "throw metal into another genre" schticks.. I was very impressed with Heavy Mellow. They do cuts like Electric Eye flamenco style. The result is fresh and something you can play at a summer BBQ and have friends who don't like metal be converted through "ozmosis" so to speak
As far as helping me sleep, now, that is quite the comedic notion. Surprise, surprise, I go to sleep every night listening to METAL! I'm usually sleepin' like a baby by the third or fourth song.
Needless to say, I have some pretty crazy dreams while whatever playlist I've got cued up during my slumber plays on!
p.s. Kixchix! Heavy Mellow was on The Monsters of Rock Cruise this year and last, though I must confess, I'm sorry I missed them. One thing I did catch while randomly wandering through the ship's cafeteria was their lead singer/guitarist POWERNAPPIN' at a table around 10 PM when the place was virtually empty. 0h, the irony! Perhaps his own music puts him to sleep, as well!
"...it tees 'EM (The 'lil monsters) up for listening to the original renditions when mom clears them to do so" as their are considerations to make when their you regarding volume and decibels as my Niece made me so eloquently aware in her SUV full of her toddlers when I tried to turn 'em onto the strands of HairNation.
Ironically, her yellin' at me about it was LOUDER than the volume I level I had her SUV's stereo set.
Of course, later, albeit, at a lower volume (not much, though), I turned 'em onto "Stairway To Heaven" and "Black Dog" off "Led Zeppelin IV", which I snuck into her SUV when she had me run up to the store with the little angels without HER in the car.
I can't tell you (nor my Niece, obviously, hahaha!!!) how much those kids LOVE Zeppelin.
Naturally, I made sure I removed the evidence from the vehicle upon our return home.
