'Close My Eyes Forever' -- Great Cover
Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 12:01AM
Check it out: Device featuring Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Device is a new band created by David Draiman. He is also the singer of Disturbed. Lzzy sounds amazing here.
Device's debut album is out April 9.

The whole problem with this is, uber-hit songwriter Holly Knight already had a band named Device. Holly is certainly not a legal idiot by any means. I'm sure she has her trademarks all locked up.
Here's Holly's Device - "Hanging On A Heart Attack".

This Device is much better, I assure you.
p.s. Just curious, Christian -- Why aren't you capable of accepting Ace's word for it? Ace has demonstrated an uncanny knack for accuracy and, I dare say, prides himself on it. However, regarding yourself, I'm beginning to think you have serious trust issues. Again, ask yourself, is that a position that lives up to your name?
As far as the song goes, again, Lizzy Hale brings it like no other...
Yet another mere child of Rock & Roll, like Jacob from Adler, who demonstrates more commitment to our music than many of those who helped invent it!
I was brutally reminded of this twice on The Monsters of Rock Cruise where I caught both Lita Ford shows, the second featuring Ron Keel taking Ozzy's part for the duet.
Why kid ourselves. Speaking of "kids" -- the original has become somewhat of a cult hit with the kids now, which I'm all for, whether I like it or not, and this cover may be the result of that fact.
And as far as Lita on MORC goes... She killed it! "Kiss Me Deadly" and "Gotta Let Go" the standouts. I wish she did "Shot Of Poison", however. Regardless, she's amazing, especially at 52 AND surviving abuse at the hands of Jim Gillette for so long.
She also wrote loads of crap including mega-hit schlock for Tina Turner and Pat Benatar. Still, there's no denying the excellence of "Hide Your Heart" and "Change".
If the only track she's on is this borefest, Hale shouldn't give a damn either.
This may not have been on Knight's or Warner's radar and neither, given their deep pockets may give a dang about this band.
And Disturbed is Modern Generock.
There, I just bored myself to death on the whole topic. Hale should escape from any association with this project as quickly as she got on it.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............
