The Tracii Guns League Of Gentlemen Release New Video

I'm excited! The Tracii Guns League Of Gentlemen finally released a song and video. The track is "The Sound" and I do think it has potential. The League of Gentlemen doesn't sound like L.A. Guns and for that I am glad. We've already been there, done that and let's not forget there's still an active version of L.A. Guns out there on the road.

The Tracii Guns League Of Gentlemen will release The First Record on June 21st through Shrapnel Records.

Hypnotic! Killer singer. Killer lyrics and music. Killer guitar solo. Killer everything.

Guns is back and seems to have taken our collective advice, finally laying to rest the nominclature of the band synonymous with his own name.

Maybe now he'll be recognized as one of the greatest guitarists alive today and by that I mean better than most of our 80's guitar heroes.

And though he can run circles around him technically, appearance wise, should we not consider Tracii Guns the 80's Hair Metal doppelgänger of Keith Richards?

I, too am glad Tracii ventured in a different musical direction. This is definitely a song that I think I will grow to like quite a bit with multiple listens. it's not the type of song that immediately grabs you by the shorthairs, which is fine. On another note, I had no idea Shrapnel records was still around. Is it the same Shrapnel that was the home of practically every neoclassical shred guitarist in the 80s?

Wow, talk about BORING. They have a long way to go to not sound like a rejected Smithereens song.

really cool vibe, its different from la guns and that is a good thing. nothing against la guns they are fantastic live, and have killer songs, but its always awesome to hear something different.

Ha, like Jimbo said, these guys are frikkin ugly. The drummer alone ruined the video for me, but that's to be expected with a budget video from a "new" band. I honestly didn't think the song was that bad, just needs a little more "umph" which can hopefully be rectified withing the mix b4 any type of studio release.

Speaking of the "ugly" League go Gentlemen, who the h*ll are those guys, anyway. Maybe Ace knows.

They are: John Bird (keys), Scott Foster Harris (vocals), Doni Gray (drums), Craig McCloskey (bass), and Tracii Guns (short hair and grudges).

They aren't: trying to sound like the Smithereens, Jeff. But good to mention a good band.

Bonus trivia: there is a Ju Ju Hounds connection!

Thanks, HIM. But, like I said, who the hell are these guys? That's okay... I will Google 'em. Appreciate the Ju-Ju Hounds clue, too, Bro.

I saw Smithereens open for The Ramones at Hammerjack's. poor bastards. Still, Smithereens are well regarded, if ya go in for that sort of thing.

That had to be an odd show with the Ramones!

For a spell the Smithereens were a solid band. Not metal or glam or anything like that. But, for their lil' corner of the musical marketplace (and before they started to burn out . . . take a gander at DiNizio these days, since they are still out there), they knew how to craft a solid song. "Behind the Wall of Sleep" is just one example.
