Queensryche -- 'Fallout'

Queensryche (Todd LaTorre version) performed their new song "Fallout" Saturday night at the Rock Hard Festival. I think it sounds darn good. Changing singers is hard, but I think this version of Queensryche will make it.

Changing singers isn't that hard. AC/DC did very well & even thrived after replacing Bon Scott. (R.I.P.)

Deep Purple did it 3 or 4 times! They had a hit with "Hush" & singer Rod Evans, replaced him w/ Ian Gillan created history w/ "Smoke On The Water", then replaced him w/ David Coverdale & went on to be even bigger yet! (Burn, anyone?)

Replacing a singer is a damn sight easier than a fired singer having to hire a whole new backing band & have any credibility trying to retain the band's name.

This sounds much more like 2013 Queensryche than Geoff's band of sidemen masquerading under the QR moniker.

i think it is excellent, few bands can change singers with everyone happy. like you said ace with brian johnson and bon scott. sammy hagar is another one. even though everyone wasnt happy with it i loved the album crue did with corabi. but anyways this songs kills, and queensryche simply kicks ass

Here's a better sounding example of what Queensryche's new record will sound like. Todd does a great job as vocalist.

Geoff Who?

The boy sure can sing! And to think he's one of my neighbor's best friends.

p.s. No matter what this band does, however, they will NEVER top "Queen Of The Reich".

No no they will never top Queen Of The Reich or anything else early on they did, but you have got to hand it to their newer singer. Does anybody know what Geoff Tate is doing?

This is the only Queensryche that matters.

The new tunes that I've heard sound both classic and fresh at the same time. This song, Fallout, sounds like a great return to the classic Queensryche sound, but with a modern twist. I think that the band writing together as a band again has made a lot of difference, this is the ingredient missing on "the other guy's version".

I have high hopes for this album, and I'm really looking to June 25th and beyond when we can put all of this business with two versions of the same band behind us and can rock united under the one, true Queensryche again.
