The Video of Mick Mars Getting Knocked Down Is Awful

By now I'm sure you know that Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars was knocked to the ground Saturday night after a crazed fan rushed the stage during one of the band's stops in Canada.

The concert was in Estevan, Saskatchewan.

TMZ has the video of the unnamed fan smashing into Mick. Mick literally goes flying and then hits the stage. After the fan hit Mick, he charged toward Vince Neil. Security removed the guy from the stage.

All the band members left the stage to make sure Mick was okay. The show then proceeded as normal.

I can't even express how bad the hit was and we all know that Mick has a horrible bone disease. I can't directly embed the clip here (yet at least) but you can click here to view the video at TMZ.

I don't know what would possess someone to jump onto a concert stage, lunge at a performer and knock them to the ground, but then again, I don't understand a lot of things. I wish Mick well and I hope the crazed fan spends some time in jail for his actions.

Not much of a fan if you ask me, hope he got what he deserved backstage! (If you know what I mean)

fan was stupid, but seeing Nikki kick the guy in the head while security held him down was a cheap shot-pussy move..Im sure a lawsuit will be filed.

thats not okay. its okay to get on stage but not to charge at somebody. i hope mick is alright, considering all the pain he is going through anyway.

DJ, It's not even OK to get on stage, if you're a fan.
As the artist, you've rehearsed & trained & practiced, and know where it's safe & where it's not safe to be onstage.

To the idiot who gets on someone else's stage,(THEIR Domain!) You don't know where explosives, high voltage electricity, or pyro is located. Stay the f*ck off!

Mick's a pretty fragile guy these days, so just getting on stage & touring is really a challenge for him. He doesn't deserve to be assaulted & injured by some yahoo climbing on to HIS domain. And while I applaud Nikki's "street justice" approach, doing it where it could be video'd wasn't the brightest move.

Nikki looked pretty pissed as he was walking over to the guy and he had a right to be.

Does that give him the right to kick someone in the head? I would say no. The guy who knocked over Mick was obviously a jerk but a kick to the head is pretty harsh, I would think.

p.s. As everyone knows, Mick is the last guy in the Crue who needs to be knocked down by a dufus. If it was Vince who got knocked down, I'm guessing not a lot of guys would care too much.

I smell a lawsuit, probably a couple.

I'd smell a counter-suit by Mick & Motley for assault, & the cost of any lost touring revenue. He better not blink in the wrong direction. Did I re-iterate that Nikki's part was a bonehead move?

Where was security in the first place?

You wussies & your 2013 pussified ways of thinking. Smh. The douche got what he deserved. What if Mick wouldve been really hurt? "Ohh but did you see mean old Nikki Sixx kick him?" Give me a break with that garbage, this is a rock show...not boys to frickin men!

Wake up, BK and DJ!

First off, Ace, Rita and Company have it right. Well, Ace, sorta right.

The fan must be unstable mentally. I wonder if he was aware that Mick Mars could have been seriously injured because of his already extremely fragile physical condition.

They should have the guy grilled by the local cops.

Though Sixx may have felt justified to kick the guy in the head, what if that guy had wound up a vegetable. Smarter thing would have been to have Security hold him 'til the cops came, press charges, have him taken downtown and grilled.

Could you imagine if this had happened to Jimmy Page back in the day? Steve Weiss, their lawyer, always had local law enforcement on the payroll when they rolled into town in case BS like this happened.

Granted (know pun intended), things sometimes got a little out of hand on Zep's part, retaliatorily, but overall, the system of paying off the cops would result in smooth resolution.

I'm surprised Crue doesn't have this extra layer of protection built in.

Last thing ya wanna do is kick anyone in the head, yeah, because of the danger of impending lawsuits, but really because you don't want to have the guy winding up a paraplegic.

p.s. Thanks for the video, Liam. Where ya been boy?

"Granted"... as in "Peter Grant" -ed.

I'm gonna guess that went over the heads of the younger set.

I got it. Funny.

And no... What Nikki did wasn't right... But I'm sure it felt justified & good at the moment.

What up, MB? Have a good time @ M3?

Yeah! Thanks for askin' 'bout, M3, Ace! We really gotta get ya out East, man. Trust me, it will be worth it.

I will give a quickie review tomorrow or Friday, latest, in the "Comments" section under Al's M3 Post.

God Bless America! And God Bless Mick Mars!

After what happens to randy from Lamb Of God and a fan jumping on stage a kick to the head is nothing. That idiot needed a few kicked to the groin so he won't breed his stupidity into the world.

You want to meet your fav band pay for the meet and greet tickets next time.
