Tommy Lee In Drag, KISS In Makeup In New Pop Video

A pop princess type named Bonnie McKee just released a video for her song "American Girl." This wouldn't normally be news here except for the fact that Tommy Lee is in the clip (in drag!) and KISS appear in full regalia as well. You'll also see Adam Lambert, Katy Perry and a zillion other famous people. I don't really listen to this sort of music, but hey, I'll give anything a whirl at least once.

This is a new-ish viral marketing ploy designed to inspire an onslaught of copycat lipsynch videos for this song. Justin Beiber invented it when they were breaking "Call Me Maybe"

My 2 cents:
- I wonder how much each of these celebs were paid (you know Gene doesn't work for free)
- After watching that video I have no idea which one is Bonnie McKee, maybe not the smartest introduction (then again, i don't care enough to google her)
- Tommy in drag is still less scary looking than his sister Athena
- That was only half of KISS in makeup, looks like they had a couple stand ins for Ace and Peter
- Song is typical of the genre, but nothing overly catchy... 2 minutes after watching it I could not recite the chorus

Ughhh. The lyrics are horrible. written by probably somebody else so the famous people dont have to do jack shit to get famous anymore. when back in the 70s and 80s motley and kiss put their fuckin effort into it and make rock n roll so remembered that i show up at crue concerts thirty years later with a bunch of my friends screaming songs that came out before we were born. and as for these people who dont do jack shit. your song will be butchered on the radio for quite some time, and then ten years later the people who remember the song are the ones like us who hated it in the first place, which proves my fucking point.
