Loudest Concert Crowd Ever?
Generally when the word concert comes up, you probably immediately think of a rock or metal band. And mostly every crowd is loud, especially when there are a lot of special effects like pyro continually going off to keep people interested and "wowed."
The other day Vanilla Ice did a surprise performance of "Ice Ice Baby" during The Package Tour which is New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men. Holy crap what a loud crowd! The shrieking and screaming actually made me jump when I watched the video for the first time. Watching the clip sort of made me wonder if the crowd reaction was one of the loudest in history. I've been in a lot of loud crowds -- but I don't know if any of those experiences compare to the one below. I guess it has a lot to do with women and young girls shrieking or something. What is the loudest concert, crowd wise, you've ever attended?

Hey what you can say though... placed looked packed and by the looks of it a good time. Its timeless... chicks dig boy bands.
The loudest crowd I remember was Metallica at Maple Leaf Gardens during the black album tour - it was just a non-stop, 2+ hour roar. A close second would be Motley Crue at the Skydome for the Dr. Feelgood tour. I remember them opening with Red Hot and it took about 90 seconds before I could hear the music above the crowd.
Another memory from that show was the first & only time I've ever seen a band booed offstage. A rockabilly outfit opened (I believe they were called The Velcros) and they lasted 3-4 songs before the chants of bullsh*t, bullsh*t, bullsh*t forced them to leave the stage.
Hmm... maybe the crowd was as crazy as I remember it.

Over the past 25+ years of going to see live music, there have been exactly 3 times I wish I had worn ear plugs...one was Airbourne at a club show (The Basement) in Columbus, Ohio, the other 2 times were with my daughters at the Taylor Swift shows we went to.
2 hours of that high pitch screaming made we want to run for the exits (I should have learned after the first show). I can't say any crowds at any rock or metal shows I've ever been to were that defeaning loud.
speaking of sound...the best sounding concert to date: Robert Plant/Joan Jett; spectrum 1988.
