Chris Holmes Plays Las Vegas

Guitarists Chris Holmes and Randy Piper performed with the Sin City Sinners last Friday night in Las Vegas. As you can imagine, the set was heavy on W.A.S.P. tunes. I was stunned to see a recent video featuring Chris on guitar but maybe he's more out and about these days than I thought. I hope so.

I always thought Chris had the coolest sounding tone back in the day.His amps just seemed to scream. That said, from everything I've read and heard recently, Chris is not in a good way. You can only dabble in certain substances for so long before they grab hold of you and drag you down into a sewer hole. I hope this is a sign that Chris is trying to finally get his shit together again, because the big guy has been hammering his body for a really long time now....

I agree Gary. I saw chris w/ blackie in WASP a few times and then it fell apart. I thought Chris was down for the count. I'm glad to see him get back on stage where he belongs.

I've seen a couple different cell phone videos from 5his show and wish I could ha e been there. I have been a diehard WASP fan since their beginning.

Chris has recently put together CHP or the Chris Holmes Project. He filmed a video that is on Youtube and it was just okay. Real angry vocals and the guitar playing was average. I hope the rest of the album is better because I want him to do well.

This guy's voice does not do this great tune, any justice whatsoever. Did they pull this schlub from the crowd or what?

I wouldn't have cared if pee-wee herman was singing. Look at that guy shred and how much fun he's having.

WOW! Could you imagine attending this show and watchin' Chris Holmes take the stage! Dang!

I actually think the singer is decent, BK. Granted, he ain't Lawless, but I actually think he's pretty good.

Glad to see Holmes back out there. Too bad he and Lawless can't IRON out their differences and go out on tour together.

I saw Lawless at M3 and he was great, though his whole stage show was misguided. But, no question, BK -- His voice cannot be replicated. And neither can Chris Holmes' guitar playing.

Good for Chris but I don't want to see him back in W.A.S.P. until he shapes up, his solos are pretty hit and miss. Oh and what's Randy up to these days? Haven't heard anything from Randy Piper's Animal in a long long time and I believe Where Angels Suffer doesn't exist anymore?

Well I think Metalboy would agree with me his hair is just not the same. He still sounds great but come on this is hair metal. If you don't got the hair then I don't care how good you sound. Hair metal is all about the hair he is washed up which is what he should have done with his hair if he did that than maybe I would still be a fan. #Hair metal Rules.
