Bruno Mars To Perform At Super Bowl Halftime Show

Over the weekend, the NFL announced that Bruno Mars will perform at this season's Super Bowl Halftime show. Personally, I'm a huge Bruno Mars fan. He sounds like Michael Jackson! Mars has crazy talent and his songs are catchy and fun. I think his halftime show will be good. Still, I'm surprised that Bruce Springsteen didn't get the halftime slot since the Super Bowl will take place in New Jersey at Met Life Stadium. We all know how popular Springsteen is around New Jersey and New York (and the rest of America!)

New York is also acting as host city and it will be the first cold weather Super Bowl, happening on Feb. 2.

Nobody I personally know is happy about this. The halftime show is something the masses will enjoy. The masses I speak of are football fans. Many pop, rock, and country acts have done the halftime show in my 30 years of being a football fan and this is the only time I have been bummed out by the halftime show announcement.

It's football,the most violent,nasty sport on earth.(and my personal favorite.lol) You're going to tell me 75% of the folks watching would rather hear Bruno f@cking Mars than say Metallica? Ever since Janet Jackson's "nip slip",what was an already vanilla half time event became beyond lame. Now it's all about playing it safe,and an act like Metallica,or say Kiss,who are both more than sucessful enough over the years to warrant the headline spot,has about as much chance to play it as I do, due to their look and reputations. (We can't scare Grandma in Iowa after all) Hell, they should've really shook it up and went with Miley Cyrus and her foam finger.....lmfao
