Monster Truck Rocks

I'm late to the party here, but wow! Last night I discovered the Canadian band Monster Truck. Their track "Sweet Mountain River" is plain amazing. Absolutely, bar none, real rock n' roll.

Couldn't agree more, great band. They have a bunch of songs that you can download for free at their webpage too.

They remind me of Soundgarden. The CD is pretty good, with a couple of clunkers. But not very glam.

Nope, not glam. Just big, loud, old fashioned rock and roll. And when you strip away the gloss, that's what many of our favorite glam bands were anyway. I saw Monster Truck open for Steel Panther a couple of years ago and they are amazing live - huge energy.

Just saw them open for Buckcherry last week - completely rocked. One word to describe them ? Bryon hit it right on the head - ENERGY. Righteous Smoke, anyone ?

Cool band. Don't see a lot of glam, but I dont know...Sounds more like a 70s rock vibe going on.
