Lynch Mob Perform 'Lost Behind the Wall'
Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 12:01AM
"Lost Behind the Wall" is a Dokken classic... and never really performed live. Like, ever. Well, the other day Lynch Mob performed the song... and it was kind of epic. Totally rare. Totally awesome. Totally Glam.

I know. I know. Dokken's voice is shot now (though I still enjoy his stage performances, a minority view I realize). He sabotaged any chance for the original band to get back together (okay, not Pecka and Barry . . . you get my point though).
But I continue to wonder: why has Lynch's career been this series of gigs, stopped and restarted and so on? Does he have personality issues like Dokken? Someone on the deep bench that comments on here must have some answer. Because I certainly don't. I suppose I just wish his post-Dokken career had been something more than it turned out to be.
Funny (and sorta' sad) moment: watching him smoke and load his gear into a small U-Haul trailer, looking mad at the world and his band mates, the morning after a gig. One of those "peak behind the curtain" moments.
Did some research since I didn't recognize the entire band. Keith St. John on vocals, Jimmy D'Anda (Ex-BulletBoys) on drums, Kevin Baldes (Lit) on bass.
Great details, HIM, BK and Mike D. It's great posts and comments like yours that make this site one of THE Best Rock & Roll Websites around.
Bkallday, I sort of sensed that ego was at stake here (though you rarely hear about it . . . Dokken's ego seems to swarm the news when it comes to Dokken the band). I never for a moment thought--and it is so rarely the case--that it was just Dokken and LDS driving the tensions in the band. Pilson and Brown seemed comfortable playing in the back (even while Pilson's contributions went largely unrecognized in the band's heyday). And they have seemingly maintained a more open approach to both Dokken and Lynch in the years since their decline in popularity.
I also agree about Logan: when he is on he is amazing. But he seems to have demons and wanderlust. His latest gig points to the latter and not the former. If he could keep things in check, he could have (or have had) a much better career.
Another truth: this is a great site, Metalboy!
Sidebar, Fletch: I appreciate the fact that I am not an object of your ire these days given that I had no clue what caused the friction a month or so back. Not trying to dig up the past. But I found that all rather shocking (and I am just assuming that it was you and not someone posting as you). Funny thing is (and I have mentioned this before), in the very beginning, when I first started posting, others thought I was you! Interesting, this whole internet thing.
Saw him perform with Lynch Mob on the first Monsters of Rock Cruise (I was so close, I could have licked Lynch's boots!) and Logan just seemed out of it. He was holding a handkerchief and acting disoriented. I wonder if this was seasickness or something else. His vocals were also paper thin.
If he was trying to do an impression of Dokken's current vocal stylings, he succeeded in that performance. Irregardless, Lynch had to point to where he wanted Logan to stand on stage, barking orders to him between songs.
Then I saw them again at M3 and he totally kicked a*s! And Lynch seemed a lot happier, too, probably because he wasn't annoyed with him.
One thing that WAS consistent was Lynch's incredible playing. I felt as though I was in the presence of one of THE Greatest Guitarists That Ever Lived, something that is captured in the above video. Totally mind blowing!
