'All Bad Things Must Come To An End'
Motley Crue are working on their final song ever as a band to go with their farewell tour. The track is being produced by James Michael (also in SIXX: AM) and is apparently called "All Bad Things Must Come To An End."
I honestly don't know how I feel about this. I guess I was half expecting Motley to do one more full album, but if they don't feel like putting in the work, then there's no point in releasing a mediocre record, right? In some respects, I think it would have been fine for the band to not release anything new period, but at least this way they'll have a new song to promote while on the road this summer. Discuss.

Heard Merry-Go-Round on the way to work this morning and then read this article ? Coincedence ?
One song? A mini album? To h*ll with that!
It was great albums and live shows that brought Mötley Crüe onto the World Stage and it's great albums and live shows that should see them out!
MAYBE the solution isn't releasing the album, but jacking the live ticket price up $10, & then handing you the new release on the way in to the show.
I don't even care if it's just another greatest hits CD w/only "Sex" & "All Bad Things Must Come To An End" as the selling point.
That would be so much better than just releasing a single song for people to buy.
99.9% percent of the time I bring up the song "Sex" to one of my metal friends they have no idea the song exists.
I hope Motley doesn't just release this last song to be forgotten within days like "Sex".
I love every single song on all of Motley Crue's first 7 CD's from 'Too Fast For Love' to 'Generation Swine'.
'New Tattoo' & 'Saints Of Los Angeles' only have 3 or 4 good songs & a lot of filler.
It's a shame that Motley won't give it at least one more shot at another bada$$ album like Ratt did w/'Infestation'.
You take every chance you can get to unsuccessfully try and tear apart the undeniable legacy of Motley Crue. It's oddly hilarious how much you hate Motley and always try to portray them as some one hit wonder flash in the pan, when they pretty much dominated the 80's.
I agree with Jakki, only "New Tattoo" and "Saints Of Los Angeles" are filled with filler with only a handful of good songs. If Motley just releases another single song than that will be a huge disappointment. At least give the fans a 5 song EP or a compilation CD filled with rarities and a couple new songs. Anything less will result in them just going out with a whimper.

I'll be waiting for your anger filled response where you tell me I'm a idiot and don't know what I am talking about, because that's what you always do when somebody "dares" question you.
I didn't "tear apart" anything. Motley's albums have always been hit or miss. You're seriously going to tell me you honestly think crap like "Keep Your Eye On The Money" , "City Boy Blues" , "Rattlesnake Shake" , "Glitter", or the appropriately named "Flush", are good songs & not filler material? That must be why they're in constant radio rotation, right? NOT.
I don't care if a song is played on the radio or not. I love all of the songs you've mentioned and more. It's sad that you value a song based on whether or not it was a radio hit. Radio airplay has never been a factor when it comes to the music I listen to.
Anyways it's all subjective, all I meant was that you always come across as if what you say is the golden word and anybody who doesn't agree with you is a clueless idiot. Point proven by your response to me.
I never said I was trying to "take you on". I just know from reading your previous posts, that you have a holier than thou vibe to you. Trust me it would be pointless to "take you on" because you would never respect anybody's point of view that doesn't agree with you.
I just had to say something because being a actual fan of Motley Crue (unlike you), I couldn't let your completely dismissive comments go unquestioned. I respect your point of view, that you think Motley Crue are an awful band. I was just sticking up for a band that I love and millions of other people do as well. That's all, no more no less.
Admittedly "S.O.L.A" and "New Tattoo" like others here have said are severely lacking in the songwriting department, quality-wise. But to say they only have one good CD is just absurd. THEATRE OF PAIN is my all time favorite CD of theirs. "Rattlesnake Shake" is my favorite song from DR FEELGOOD. "Glitter" [with "Let Us Prey" being a close second] is my favorite song from GENERATION SWINE. The self titled CD they did with John Corabi is amazing every song just kills. Motley Crue's catalog is filled with so many great songs.
But can't a fan think a band they love has filler on their album(s) and not be a hater? Perhaps it is just how a person states their opinion that draws out the need to defend, or how they bash different opinions to make their point. I dunno. It seems like there are some non sequiturs flying around here. At the very least, getting defensive after calling out some one who was calling others out doesn't seem to square the circle very well; if anything, it is just a different shade of the same tendency. You can dismiss provocation on principle. But then to do it yourself? Hmm. "Tit-for-Tat" should be a Steel Panther song.
Just to be fun (not that anyone was/is asking me): I think White Lion's _Pride_ has no filler. Same for _Shout at the Devil_ and _Out of the Cellar_.
To your point, what is wrong with casting a critical eye on the pros and cons of a band, even if, in the end, you love 'em. Ace was at the Crue's very first show, which he actually filmed at The Starwood in '81 and knows Nikki Sixx personally.
But that doesn't stop him from facing the realities of these guys' tendency to "mail it in" in recent years or flagging some of their songs as "filler", even if I don't entirely agree. Crue's blatant filler creation, for me, really started with "Generation Swine". "Brandon" would be the most grievous example.
I do agree, Ace, with the others who think "Dr. Feelgood" is "all killer and no filler", as well as "Girls, Girls, Girls", and, as HIM mentioned, "Shout At The Devil". And we unequivocally do agree, "Too Fast For Love" is an absolutely flawless, 110% "No Filler" masterpiece!
p.s. Okay, HIM... I'll bite -- I agree with your selections and would like to add the following, if I may... Poison, "Look What The Cat Dragged In" and Cinderella, "Long Cold Winter" to the list of "All Killer, No Filler" slabs of 80's Glam Metal.
Same goes for Penn (wouldn't it be great if he had a sister named Candy?). Strikes me, like bkallday, as being one of those people you want raising the metal flag. And, to be fair, I suppose no one likes to hear that their favorite band has solicited a "meh" reaction, even out of another fan. We get protective of our favorite bands, treating them like Fabergé eggs . . . when it is really our opinions--or our certainty about said opinions--that are often delicate.
I guess I just don't see loving music as being that much of a battle, or postings on a site as being that much of a war to win or lose. A jab to throw and a pun to put forth? Sure. But talking down a poster's opinion is like caging ether. Not going to happen, even if the attempt makes you feel better/bigger. Like I said in my last post, guilty on all counts.
PS: I just don't have the right perspective re: Poison, but I wholeheartedly agree about Cinderella. I was going to add "Master of Puppets" and Omen's "Warning of Danger" last night. But I figured that was orbiting outside the BBG universe just a scootch.
I actually thought I was offering up a solution to the flagging apathy they've already addressed in their lack of desire to make another album. I still think bundling a concert ticket & a disc of new material together is a pretty solid business idea.
