Jeff LaBar Releases Solo Album Teaser

Jeff LaBar of Cinderella fame is getting ready to release his first solo album. The record will be called One For the Road and will be released in August. Here's a teaser of that solo effort. I sort of freaked out at the guitar work - it's glam, ya'll!

This stuff KICKS A*S!!!

Le Bar has always had to live in Tom Keifer's shadow.

Now, we can listen to what he sounds like having to no longer play second fiddle. Can't wait to hear all of these tracks in their entirety as well as the rest of the album.

I think it sounds great, minus the vocals. Same as Newsted's recent effort...great riffs and music, but the voice gets boring after the first few songs.
I hope he does well

I would love to have new Cinderella and Poison instead of these solo projects.

DAYUM. Shit rocks. I really like the 3rd sample. Not crazy about his voice,it isn't bad,but it isn't going to win any awards either. And I also think that Metalboy is 100% correct in that Jeff's kind of been second fiddle to Tom in Cindy for all these years,so this is his chance to shine so to speak.

It's really good. I have to agree id rather listen to Cinderella and Poison rather than a bunch of solo projects.

Let me guess. Jeff LaBar is more talented than Dave Grohl too?

Not bad.

Question is: why does he wait 20 yrs or so to do something on his own?

@Kixchix, he was in a band called Freakshow that put out one kick ass album back in 2009. Definitely worth checking out.

Sh*t, JV! I got that Freakshow album when it came out and didn't even know he was in the band.

Here, I've had drinks with him several times on The Monsters of Rock Cruise or at the Pre-Parties and coulda asked him about that had I only realized it was him!

I hear you guys on the voice but I actually like it. Is that him? Judging from the pictures in the "trailer", I'd say it's him.

Also, gotta say, I agree with those who commented they would prefer to hear new Cinderella and Poison. I say they should still do that, too, but these guys can't be expected to wait around while their front men hog up all the glory.

Also, does anyone else hear the Dokkenesque guitar work? Could think of others for him to be inspired by but I'm glad it seems to be more Lynch than Keifer. As I said before, this TOTALLY kicks a*s!

I'm SO happy for him because as most of you know, "the life" hasn't been easy on him.

p.s. Pretty funny, Jason. I wouldn't say he's more talented than Dave Grohl but personally, I like this better than eny of Grohl's monotonous and overrated GENEROCK!

As much as I love Cinderella. Keifer is the one that sells it for me. I love the bluesy kick ass sound, but his voice is what stands out, so in my option I like Grohl better than LaBar, just because he isn't the one that sells me on Cinderella. And Grohls work with Nirvana is phenomenol. The newest Foo Fighters album and Soundcity is really cool. I don't know if that all made sense, but that's just my opinion.

Thanks JV. I too remember that band not knowing Jeff was in it.

Cheers!
