SIXX: A.M., 'Stars' -- New Track

Surprise! SIXX:A.M. just released another track from the upcoming album Modern Vintage. The song is called "Stars" and I really like it a lot. In fact, I think it's miles ahead of "Gotta Get It Right" which is supposedly the first single from Modern Vintage. "Stars" is definitely radio friendly and not dark. Most SIXX: A.M. tracks are about as dark as you can get, but maybe the band is turning a corner here. Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think.

In the words of The Glimmer Twins, "It's the singer, not the song."

Pretty good song. Sounds radio ready. But I for one am growing increasingly tired of the overuse of the wah wah pedal in guitar tones. It was cool when Hendrix used it in Voodoo Chile. That was about 45 years ago.Give it a rest guys, and use it as a seasoning, not to cover up sloppy playing (which Ace will attest any pedal out there basically does) lol.

Good song - I've always thought that Nikki is underrated as a song writer. So many musicians have trouble breaking out of their sweet spot for writing great tunes, but Sixx has always been able to write memorable songs that sound current, without being forced.

Gary "but these go to 11" I like hiding my inabilities behind distortion just like Spinal Tap LOL .... I digress but your right.. My wah collects dust in a closet but then again so does my guitar... Now Gary Hoey can use anything he wants he rips and can do it clean or with fuzz.. wrong topic .. Sixx A.M. not sure whether I like it or not I think I am just getting old..

I'm not big on the new stuff. Their first two albums were cool though.

I kinda like it. I still need to hear the album in its entirety before making in final judgement, but this combined with first release does not make it a purchasable record.

Metalboy! are you kidding me? James Michael is the epitome of rock singing. He's the best to come around since the AOR king Kelly Keagey. The standard bearer of his time. A shining beacon among withering candles and low-batteried flashlights. Why, oh why, you refuse to see the brilliance will be something I can never understand.

Hahaha, Cheap Seats! So glad to see we have another Rock'n'Roll Poet on our hands!

Why Sixx is burnin' up perfectly good songs on this generock Modern Pop Metal Band, I'll never understand!

Concentrate on your Magnum Opus, Nikki!... A sterling final MOTLEY CRUE album is what The World needs right now.

Here's your chance to say something important! \m/

" why sixx is burnin' up perfectly good songs on this...I'll never understand."

my uneducated guess is that deep down, he really hates corporate America, capitalism, ronald reagan and all those very principles that defined the 80's. And still define us (society) to this day.

you got anything else you want answered?

"oh, but he is sponsored by dodge!" I know! he's a fucking hypocrite, too!
