Rare Metal Monday

It doesn't get much more obscure than this! Lionheart - "Die For Love."

The short-lived British band featured some names we all know including Frank Noon (from Def Leppard!).

Did anyone ever see these guys live?

Here's the video for "Die For Love."

It does get more "obscure" than this as you can find this on eBay for a mere pittance compared to the hundreds you'll pay for other AOR hidden gems.

If you like your synths thick and your pop a tad "Metal", this is the stuff for you.

Not my cup of tea, but someone could do a nice cover of this minus the keyboards and British New Wavy vocals. I mean, with a title like that, c'mon, then. (Apply Cockney accent for the last sentence here.)

The video is funnier than Steel Panther, IMHO, albeit, unintentionally.

I actually really like this song, the album is a little better than average. I actually own a vinyl copy of this album.

The only thing I remember about Lionheart is the back of my Metal Edge magazine when I tried to remember the listing of fan clubs they had in the back of actual bands, so when me and my buddies got on the who can name the most "Metal" bands, I'd have ones like this in my repeittoire (or some spelling of that word)

An early Stephen Hawking even rocking in this video. Im sure everyone on here would rank these troglodytes above the Crüe, though. This video and song now both rank up there, with the worst that ive ever seen/heard. Right up there with Eddy Murphy and the Chicago Bears! Im gonna assume all these dudes are now "managers" at some local fast food establishment. They probably serve bats as chicken, too.

Haha!!, BK! Along the lines of what I said before, this video is funnier than anything by Steel Panther, but Lionheart probably still aren't self aware enough to realize it!

This is pure AOR, and not at the top of that scrap heap of Arps and Korgs, by any means.

Hardly, a match for Motlëy Crüe.

Or shall I say, "Softly".
