A Little More Than A Lyric Video
Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 12:01AM
Def Leppard just released the official lyric video for their track "Let's Go." Usually this means just a bunch of words swirling around and not much going on in the background. I guess since Def Leppard collectively have more money than God, they were able to put forth a little more effort. The video below is kind of cool. You already know I love the song. I have high hopes for the new Def Leppard album, which is due out at the end of the month.

I hate to say it, but it looks like they borrowed the creative talents of those who were behind Iron Maiden's "The Final Frontier" video. Either that, or the guys (I am assuming that) that made the Scorpion's "Rhythm of Love" have improved since 1988.
Helplessly retro . . . but I guess that is sorta' the point. At least it isn't so obviously derivative (like "Let's Get Rocked (And Your Chicks for Free)").
I still like the Leps, & they were great when I saw them last week, but this song still does absolutely nothing for me.
No new ground for the Leps. Since this is a Hysteria era sound; maybe the rest of the album will have some of the edgier Pyromania/High n Dry sound. We can only hope....
This whole exercise reminds me when Boston stayed well past their welcome -- I'm talkin' "3rd Stage" and beyond, except way worse.
You would think these guys could really do a better job all the way around. What an excercise in futility! "Barf!" And "Barf" for the video, too!
Like I said before, it sounds like an outtake from Hysteria, and I mean that in a good way, I love Hysteria and all, but do hope the album has the edge of High N Dry or Pyromania. I will still buy the album regardless because I am really excited for this one. Until it drops ill be listening to Wasted and Lady Strange on heavy rotation.
Like I said, a band like Def Leppard dont really have to break new ground for new material in 2015.
