Drip...drip...drip...

The drip of news concerning the alleged Guns n' Roses reunion tour continues. Now Blabbermouth reports that the reunion will only feature Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, leaving Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler out in the cold. I'm skeptical, because I don't know why either Axl or Slash -- especially Slash -- would agree to this. Half originals, half cover band... I'm already getting bored with this. Thoughts?

I agree with Allyson, what's the point of a 50/50 new 'n old?
And to say anything good about Slash's "Co-Conspirators" is laffable, at least where Miles Kennedy is concerned, an edgeless non- personality generic sounding singer who does a just okay sounding impression of Axl's little old lady yelp.
Remember, the whole is equal to the sum of it's parts... It's that thing that happens... The Sound of the 6th Man that will come out again with the classic line-up that will draw the fans nearer to the flame that will mean record breaking riches for all concerned.
Even if they had to settle for the Mark II line-up of Sorum and Clarke, that would create at least a 5 1/2 Man sounding reunion a la the "Use Your Illusion" Tour, which was pretty damned impressive the 3 times I saw 'em. Certainly that would be the much better way to go if they're not going to go with the classic line-up... Anything else just doesn't capture the imagination the same way and begins to sound like a cash grab a la Plant & Page.
If it is not all the original Gunners, then it would be a shame. Of course, just have Axel and Slash together again would be money in their bank.
Do it right, or don't do it at all.
Im with Rita, the original line up, including Gilby & Matt in some tracks.
Original reunion, no excuses. Or nothing. Appetite for a new destruction....
Bye bye
Well, I actually quite like Rita's "Guns Through The Years" approach Steve Argentina backs... Having both the "Classic" line-up plus the "Gen 2" line-up would make for a h*lluva show, reminiscent of when I saw The Damned at The Ritz on their sold out 1991 tour.
On that tour, the classic line-up played the first set with Captain Sensible on Bass, Dave Vanian on Lead Vocals, Brian James on Guitar and Rat Scabies on Drums. The second line-up featuring Sensible on Guitar, Vanian on Vocals, Scabies on Drums and Paul Gray on Bass played the second set... The third set was priceless as BOTH line ups cranked it out on stage together!
Still, Every rumor is just a rumor.
