Hysteria On The High Seas

The Def Leppard cruise is officially happening. Dubbed Hysteria on the High Seas, the cruise is set for January 21-25, 2016. The cruise will be on the MSC Divina and will port from Miami, Fla. No pricing details yet. I'm already going to be on a trip during this time, or I would consider this. After all, Def Lep is my #2 band, right behind Aerosmith. Who is going?

This could be amazing. Just gotta see who else is gonna be on board. Dunno if Elliott would be into it but could you imagine if they got the Down 'n' Outs, who are no strangers to cruises as they are Quireboys without frontman Spike. And what if he got mentor/inspiration Ian Hunter on, as well? THAT would be huge.

Of course, they still need more notable bands on the ship and that's where the guessing game begins. Let's hope that doesn't lead where I think it's gonna lead.

p.s. I'd love to see bands like Hardcore Superstar, Reckless Love and some of the newer bands on the cruise, as well. Another viable choice would be Thin Lizzy alumni's Black Star Riders, though personally, they don't do much for me. Here's where Def Leppard could more actively adopt the cause celebrรฉ of so many the world over which also just happens to be emblazoned on the banner of this site... Bring Back Glam!

Well, it's nice to know Def Leppard will have 5 valets on hand.

p.s. Not to say, I didn't see it comin' (read my previous comments in earlier posts). The latest clue is the cruise setting sail on the MSC Divina, considering those idiots have been on it every time since the first Shipsucks!

Lol!!! I was only busting your nuts bud,I honestly have no idea who they'll bring along. Although after readingy your observation about them and the boat, perhaps they've become the ships house band.... Lol

Thumbs up on Hardcore Superstar, Jack but one could guess my thoughts on THAT other band you mentioned being on it.

Gary... Think of the clues... THAT other band you mentioned has been opening for Leppard and could have clued them in Mickey Rooney style... "Hey, you guys should do a cruise!" and after explaining it to them that they've been doing it for years and what a great time they'll have, of course, Leppard took the bait and you know who was assured yet another gig on the MSC Divina.

Of course, what I find really laffable are the legions of fans in Jack's boat (sorry for that) waiting with baited breath for the formal announcement of THAT band's name to go under Leppard's on the bill when my going on this hangs in the balance. Pray to the Metal Gods, Jack, pray.

Then again, it could have been the Down n' Outz (aka The Quireboys without Spike) who told Elliott or it was both acts. Tell you what, if The Down n' Outz make it on, I'll do go, even if The U-No-Who's go on it, too. Pray, Jack, pray!

Most importantly, prayers to the Metal Gods continue for Viv Campbell... Let's pray for his full recovery so we can see him on the boat!

Bring on the kings of sleaze Hardcore Superstar!! They have already announced H.E.A.T as an option so they are clearly interested on bringing some newer bands. Book HCSS, H.E.At with Reckless love and they got my money 100%! Hoping it will happen.

That would be large! They would so pull that Glam Metal sound up by it's bootstraps if they showcased those bands! Imagine how that would just open up the liquid mercury floodgates to Bring Back Glam!
