Great M3 Videos!

I didn't get to attend M3 last weekend, but YouTube is the next best thing. There really wasn't much buzz online leading up to the event, which is odd, but still. It seems like those who went had a great time. Here's the entire set from the Winery Dogs

Here's "Queen of the Reich" from Queensryche

And of course, some Dokken...

Is there a more boring, old, non descript band...as the frickin Winery Dogs? Does everyone get a record deal, these days?

No, BK... Only a "Super Group" made up of BORING Overplaying Scientologist and two equally overplaying Prog Rock Wannabees he brainwashed into thinking he's good do!

Winery Dogs are just plain boring, the karaoke fronted queensryche sounded awful, and Dokken, dear lord, please just retire Don.

Glad I didn't go to this.....

Would love to go to M3 one year. Get the real Dikken, the real Ratt, Faster Pussycat, Poison, and Kix. Not a Winery Dogs fan but Sheehan is so underrated.

Agree with you on Sheehan, Dj. Underrated and amazing to listen to (at least for me) since Talas's _Live Speed on Ice_.

If I am not mistaken, I introduced Metalboy! to Sheehan's Scientology connections. His religious views are his and don't take away from his talent (if they did, then Chick Corea and Beck would be cast into the fires).

But if one wants to do a bit more diving than merely chortling at a South Park episode, I would recommend watching _Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief_, which got a limited theatrical run and also appears on HBO. Fascinating stuff.

And Metalboy! . . . Kotzen? Prog?!!? I can see the slam regarding Lil' Lord Portnoy. But Kotzen? Seems like an errant shot with a magic bullet.

Hey, no question, Winery Dogs are accomplished musicians with technique to burn and that's the problem so I stick to my characterization.

Granted, each member has had his moments -- Sheehan's "Addicted To That Rush", which was a rightful holdover from TALAS but Mr. Big's only good song, Kotzen in Arthur's Museum (Check out their album of and some live concert stuff on YouTube) plus Poison and the occasional song from Portannoy's various projects through the years but in the final analysis, this collaboration of their current unholy union only leads to one unfortunate conclusion...

These clowns are SO UNROCK!

p.s. HIM, I have witnesses with my own eyes and ears Scientology's f*ckedupedness! It's a sham and seriously screws people up!

Metal boy with the Arthur's Museum reference! That's a flashback of epic proportions for this guy. Lol. They used to play my area pretty regularly,as Kotzen is from Reading Pa,which is about 35 miles down the road from me. Guy can kick ass on a guitar.Always impressed me when I saw him....

Hey Metalboy!, I hope you didn't take the "chortling" comment as a swipe at you. It wasn't. I simply think documentaries like the one I mentioned given a more nuanced view than some of the pop culture ephemera that passes for "news" these days.

Portannoy . . . . bested me with that one.

And Arthur's Museum? Never heard them before. Yet another service this site, and its posters, provides.

Thanks, HIM but you are way ahead of me as are so many great Commentarians on here and, of course, our wonderful host, Allyson.

And, yeah, check out Arthur's Museum... That was Kotzen's best moment.

Yeah, I agree with many hear that Winery Dogs are big bores. Liked watching the Dokken footage the best. What is going on with Don's "hair"? I was mesmerized. He doesn't sound THAT bad though. I've heard people say he can't sing at all any more. Of course he can't hit the high notes but at least sings most of the lyrics. So to me, Don sounds much better than Vince Neil does these days.

Gary... Just re-reading comments... THAT is so LARGE you saw Kotzen in Arthur's Museum playin' in your shared neck of the woods!

Had I only known to be checkin' out bands like that in New York, New Jersey, Staten Island AND Long Island back in the day!
