Rocklahoma 2016 Announced

The Scorpions, Disturbed and Five Finger Death Punch will headline Rocklahoma. The Pryor, Oklahoma based festival is set for Memorial Day weekend. I can't believe it's the 10th anniversary already. I went to the original - and real - Rocklahoma... and several versions after. Sometimes I miss going... then I remember how much the festival format has changed, how few (if any) of my friends still go year after year and the cost to stand in a field in the Oklahoma heat and I'm okay with passing on the event.

The pre-sale is already open, so if you're going, you might as well get your tickets before the price increases.

ROCKLAHOMA 2016!!! Here we go! We can't wait to celebrate America's Biggest Memorial Day Party with: Scorpions,...

I was at 2008 & 2009. '08 was great. '09 not as much fun. I'm jealous you caught the very special inaugural event Ally. I read a review of Rocklahoma '07 in Rolling Stone and was pissed I missed it and hustled to the one in 2008.

Yeah, today it's just another festival. They don't even try to appease '80's fans anymore with regard to lineup. Understand they are a business and glam didn't pay bills anymore.

One thing that is ironic about the lineup is that they have the Dead Metal Society on the bill. These guys are an awesome cover band that only play our music. They guys dress up and put on a great show. They must play the side stage but they are a regular draw here in the region. Never made it to Rocklahoma depending on circumstances I might make it over there on the day the Scorpions play just to check it out.

I've always wanted to go to one of these festivals. They've got some great glam on this lineup and I think I may be in the minority of thinking some newer rock bands and bands like Hatebreed are killer, but this is a lot better than Rock On The Range.
