Pretty cool... I'll probably go... again... even though, they were JUST here in October @ the same venue, with the same opening act. I kind of think they are overestimating their draw to fill the Joint for 5 nights. That 1 show in October took 5 months to sell out.

I do hope they add more songs from the Uli Roth era to the set, instead of the usual "Mercury Years" pop-metal hits. The show in October was great for the surprise showings of "Steamrock Fever" , "Here Comes Your Train" & "He's A Woman, She's a Man"... Hopefully they'll add more classics like "Robot Man", "Suspender Love", "In Trance", or "Top Of The Bill"?

One more thing. this will be the 3rd time I've seen a "Farewell Tour" from them in the last 4 years... it's become like Cher, or Kiss... "Miss this Farewell Tour? Don't Worry, there'll be another next year".... ;)

Are the Scorpions really on another farewell tour?? It's stupid to come back for multiple "farewell" tours...but still, it's the Scorpions they kick ass and still sound great. I'd go to their tenth farewell fiasco if they can still deliver.

No matter how many farewell tours this has been, they're still delivering... and after 50 years, that's still saying something.

Not to mention that they also put out a record of all new material last year instead of just milking the nostalgia cow to death.

The Scorps are rock royalty in my opinion The second concert I ever saw was the Scorpions with Trixter opening on the Crazy World tour in 1991. It was an amazing show, and I've seen them many times since, even when they were having some trouble filling arena's during the Face the Heat tour (Delta center in Salt Lake City was less than half full). I love the dual guitar attack of Schenker/Jabs and they have great chemistry. Jabs has to rock start poses down! I love watching the footage of the Scorpions during the Moscow Music Peace Festival where I think they blew every other act off the stage, including some of my favorites like the Crue, Ozzy, Bon Jovi, Cinderella and Skid Row. Dynamite sounds amazing during that show. Kottak has been a real nice addition since Rarebell left as well. 50 years and still going ... just wow!

They need to play M3 again or Monsters of Rock Cruise. Scorpions would really elevate both as each of those experiences are sort of stuck in Metal Mediocrity.

Just might be able to swing this concert (one of them, at least). Now, if I go Ace, you have to promise a drink or two . . . and at least a dozen stories!! And don't think I have forgotten about the book!

I agree with most of you on here: they still bring it live. Just wish they would leave out the Kottak Attack Drum Bonanza and instead play (as some have mentioned) something a bit more special. [Speaking of which wasn't he supposed to reuniting with Kingdom Come for a tour? I can only imagine the logistics of dealing with Mr. Wolf's ego and the potential that had/has for derailing an awesome tour. Oh wait! There is the cruise. But Kottak is nowhere to be found, nor Steier.]

The farewell thing? Such a rite of passage these days for bands to say it and then fail to uphold it over the long-term. What they need to do is sign a contract of some sort. A cessation of touring sorta' thing. That would make it ironclad!

I think you're onto something with that ironclad contract thing Him.... LMFAO. Scorps just plain kick ass. Their song "Sting In The Tail" proved to me that they weren't just mailing it in. That baby cooked as good as anything they cranked out in their heyday. I hope they keep farewell touring for another 5 years or more, naysayers be damned. Like Ace said, they still bring it every time they play. \m/
