Video Teaser Of Motley Crue's Final Tour DVD
Yes, it's time for another Motley Crue post! After all, the band plus Guns n' Roses are two of the biggest stories in Glam this week.
On the day Motley Crue ended their touring career, the band put out a press release announcing a DVD of that two-year farewell tour. Now there's a teaser of that upcoming DVD, which you can watch below. There's not much here: just concert clips set to "Home Sweet Home."
The film was directed by Christian Lamb and will include the full final concert and special, "extra" footage.

I didn't go to the final Crue show. Flying to shows costs me a bomb and I've seen them often enough to not much care. Which might be why they called it a day ( not me personally but how many people felt the same ).
Hoping to come to the USA to catch a GnR show. not confident it will hold together long enough to tour down under.
Seeing Nightwish this Saturday. Recent shows include Machine Head and Hammerfall. Looking forward to Clutch, Sabbath with 5FDP ( twice, one Sabbath meet and greet, one 5FDP ) and Maiden ( also twice )
I highly recommend watching those DVDs back to back... Talk about a stark "Before" & "After" even more extreme than what we're about to witness with the inevitable comparisons made upon the return of Guns n' Roses. Hahaha!!! Enjoy!
p.s. Christian! Happy Metal New Year! Glad you're back... You guys should do your annual "Best Of's" for 2015! Thanks, Shawn, that you were able to Bring Back Christian!
Did Bloodstone and Diamonds or Endless Forms Most Beautiful come out this year ? If they did, they are the two best CDs I've heard for some time. The new Iron Maiden was good, but, not as amazing as people say. The new Clutch would be my top CD though, I reckon. Also love the new Vintage Trouble ( not metal ).
I hope Al, yourself and the rest of the staff will do comprehensive lists as I get so many tips from them. Thanks!
I listened to a bit of Book of Souls but it didn't do much for me so I passed on buying it.
I bought a lot of other Power Metal CD's this year but they all came out in prior years.
Christian, once again, true to form, we agree to disagree. Nothing's changed.
And I dare you or anyone to find one song released in 2015 better than "Barbarian" by The Darkness. Suggest one and I'll listen to it and tell you if it is actually better, haha!!
I also like the Def Leppard album. I'm sure I will love Rita's new faves simply because she's my secret 'Heavy Metal Love'.
p.s. BK... My Favorite Glam Metal Bands of All Time are (in order)...
1) Motlëy Crüe
2) RATT
3) Cinderella
4) Poison
5) Britny Fox
6) Pretty Boy Floyd
7) Junkyard
8) Wildside
9) Roxx Gang
10) Bulletboys
11) Love/Hate
12) Heaven's Edge
13) L.A. Guns
14) Faster Pussycat
I certainly have to suggest that "He Is" by Ghost is one heck of a well-crafted (and hilarious) song. I realize that is probably not in everyone's wheelhouse. Oh well. But ti is so perfectly structured to sound like those songs I used to hear in church, only with a slightly harder edge. I could even imagine a band like Petra or Stryper humming along to it!
Christian and Rita, do you think that Maiden are just sorta' floating by on their laurels? And what is your take, Shawn? I bet the live show will be as good as always.
And, not to beat a dead horse, but . . . where is Hanoi Rocks, Metalboy!?
And since you asked, I would tell you to listen to Walking On Water by Jorn Land and Trond Holter from their January 2015 Dracula Swing of Death release. It is easily song of the year. I dare you to tell me its not after you hear it !!!
Him - I really wanted to love Book of Souls but I honestly listened once and it just didn't grab me the way I hoped it would. Maybe I should give it another chance. To be honest, when I heard it, Metalboy! came to mind ("Maiden is boring"). I just found it uninspiring.
Curious to know what Christian thinks of it though.
p.s. I will check out the others recommended here, as well.
