Quiet Riot Announces New Singer
Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 12:01AM
Seann Nicols, formerly of Adler's Appetite, is now the new singer of Quiet Riot. I used the Blabbermouth embed below so you could see the new band photo.
The Quiet Riot reboots are hard for me, but this time it's a little more interesting because the band is actually working on new music. A new album will come out in early 2017 via Frontiers.

No issue with making a living. Some issues with how one goes about "celebrating" a legacy of which one was a (non-original) part. Perhaps if he was more honest about the former taking precedence, people would be less inclined to slag on him when he makes tissue-thin (and thinning) references to the latter. Perhaps not. Besides, Mr. DuBrow (RIP) did enough bridge-burning to last (and outlast) several lifetimes.
This one had my "press releases are written for filling space" nerves spazzing out: "Frankie Banali, an original member of the 1982 Metal Health classic line up." That is a magical sentence. I mean, I get it. I am no origins purists. You really can't be in this day and age. And I know no one is clamoring for Drew Forsyth to return to the kit. Who? I have no idea (Ace??). He doesn't even merit a link on Wikipedia. And I checked, because I never have heard of him before.
But an "original" member of the "classic" line-up is just word pudding. That's like saying "I am the original sex partner in the classic lineup of this person's sexual history." High-fives and eye-rolls all around, I guess. It also underscores my first post. When you need to reach for credibility, you sprain more than credulity.
As for Banali's creative thinking/word salad, I guess that means anybody who has rubbed one out looking at a Playboy as a teenager has therefore had sex with a Playmate. And If that's the case, I had sex with more Playmates from the ages of 13-15 than Hugh Hefner had in his life....( insert rim shot from Banali or Knobby on drums here) LMFAO
I'll say one thing... re: Drew's abilities... "If he was good enough to play with Randy Rhoads, He was good enough to play with anybody else.". Period.
Drew left the music business, moved to Hawaii, did REALLY well in real estate, & owns about 1/3 the island of Kauai.
I played many a show opening for Love/Hate... I'll check in w/ Jizzy & see what he says about this. He ALMOST lasted 3 whole years... Missed it by 2 months. That's a lifetime in Quiet Riot replacement singer years.
As for the subject at hand, Very Little Riot (very funny, too, HIM!), I am actually glad to see Pearl is out. I consider myself EXTREMELY lucky I saw Love/Hate a few years back at M3 and I wish Jizzy all the best and hope he can have artistic success as a solo act.
And, on the topic of Quiet Riot, this has really gone beyond a joke. I guess I should listen to the new album before passing final judgement. I mean, what if it's actually good?! THAT really would lend credence to HIM's assessment of SCAB bands taking on some form of legitimacy.
FYI, I just downloaded a Roxx Gang demos album off iTunes. I assume it's available elsewhere. You should check it out if you have not already done so. That guitarist totally BURNS!
Thank you for your peak under the tent of Quiet Riot. Amazing to learn from you about Drew Forsyth's success as a real estate magnate in Hawaii, especially considering how Du Brow hosed him.
Drew isn't the only one Kevin hosed... All 3 of the members besides KDB in the "DuBrow" band, Drew, Bassist Gary VanDyke, & guitarist Greg Leon all got stiffed as Kevin became more of an "All For Me" sort of guy... Greg especially since a handful of tunes like "Party All Night" was musically written by Greg (was originally the tune "Keep On Rollin' ", and "You Hold The Key" and a batch of that era's tunes that those guys did not get the credit or $$$$ they deserve. And of course, Frankie's "Now You're Here..." movie skirted over them in 1.2 seconds.

While there's no question, the guy was a super talented singer with one of the ballsiest voices out there, there's no doubt where he wound up in the afterlife.
