Ted Poley Releases Music Video

Our boy Ted Poley from Danger Danger has just released a video for his song "Higher." The song is from the album Beyond The Fade due out on May 13. Ted has always been one of my favorite Glam singers. What do you think?

I am a huge Danger Danger fan...wish they would put out some new stuff. The new band from some of the D2 guys looks promising. Always liked Ted's vocals but this is a little soft for me.

I liked the song but getting tired of all the lead singers bailing on there bands and putting out solo stiuff only at this point. I also am looking forward to the new project from paul laine and d2 boys it sounds promising so far.

Not sure he bailed on them, Glamrocker Archie... I think it's an on and off again thing, mostly dictated by the band and not Poley.

I was fortunate enough to see 'em with Poley on vocals at M3 a few years back and the show was nothing short of amazing, as in flawless.

I mean, let's face it, this guy sure can sing, just not sure if he or the band ever got over when they replaced him with Paul Laine for a little ballsier sound on the vocals. By the way, you can compare the two singers on the "Cockroach" album (Thanks for the tip, Kenny O!).

Either way, one helluva band!

Unbeknownst to me at the time, but Ted Poley lives about two miles from my home and is good friends with my son's guitar teacher. Anyway a couple of summers ago, I was standing in line at the food store and there was this "long-haired freaky person" (tesla) standing in line in front of me. He was covered in tattoos and without trying to be obvious, I started examining his tattoos to see what designs he has permanently inked on his body (it's just something that I tend to observe on people).

I noticed that among his tattoos, there was one of the green Martian, The Great Gazoo from the animated show, The Flintstones. I started having a deja vu moment, thinking, "Man, I've seen that Tattoo before." After we paid for our groceries and I followed him out of the store, I notice him climb into his convertible corvette and I was able to get a better look at his face.

It was then that it dawned on me, "That's Ted Poley from Danger Danger" and I flashed him the horns. He reciprocated the gesture. Turns out, he lives next door to one of my wife's friends. Now I see him all over the place. He probably thinks that I'm a stalker, but alas, no. That was DLR in the 90's and 2000's.

He does have a set of pipes on him for sure.

Great vocals, but the song is a little too fluffy and AOR-ish for my tastes.

hey metalboy yes I was aware of paul laine in danger danger I have all d2 cds and a huge fan of paul laine solo from when his first cd came out. I love the cockroach album with version of both singers on it, pauls are def a lttle balsier but def loved everything d2 has done since the beginning. hopefully more to come from d2 and maybe others like slaughter, poison cinderella will work shit out and do something/. on another note happy as hell got my personally autographed cd from hanover in the mail today has a couple bonus tracks ive never seen before cant wait to put it in these guys put out a killer album never got there dues.
