Moonstone Festival Postponed Because Of Cyber Fraud
Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 12:01AM
This is odd. Moonstone Festival, featuring headliners KISS and Def Leppard, was set to happen April 30 and May 1 in Orlando, Florida. Now the fest is suddenly postponed due to cyber fraud. The event will take place September 24, 25 instead. It isn't clear who will be on the revised lineup. Truly odd and sad.

Ha ha. Perfect.
A fine young feline friend of mine who works for a PR firm here in town who was handling all the publicity for Moonstone. That is until Moonstone stiffed them on a $10,000 bill.
She told me last Friday, and I quote, "They're probably going to wind up cancelling it because they haven't sold many tickets. They're a*sholes!"
But I'm actually hoping they can pull it off but for the simple reason it would be so easy for me to go knock out KISS and Def Leppard since the venue's only around 10 minutes from my house. Plus just watching the shocked look on the faces of the uninitiated is always fun!
Let's hope Moonstone can get it's act together.
One line in the PR struck me: "Tickets purchased for the original dates will be honored (with upgrades for all purchasers, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks) with refunds available for those unable to be on hand for the rescheduled dates."
When you rob Peter Criss to pay Paul Stanley (or something like that . . .), you are setting up a lot of people for a lot of broken promises. My advice? Get that refund. Then wait and see.
Surely, somebody knows somebody or $immons has underwritten the thing. Why would these guys go to the trouble to do a press conference, if it wasn't for real.
Bob & DJ are closest to what is probably the issue(s) here and in line with the Intel I got from my friend at their former PR firm (read above).
I'll see what else I can dig up.
Him, that was absolutely BRILLIANT! Sonisphere, anybody? That was cancelled too.
One thing I DO know, KISS got 50% of their booking fee up front. & it's non-refundable.
Whoa, 50%! What kind of do-re-mi we talkin' here?
