Awesome Motley Crue Show From 1987

Happy Easter! As a present, here's an awesome full concert of Motley Crue at the Buckeye Lake Music Center in Ohio way back in 1987. Watch it while eating a chocolate bunny!

I remember seeing them in 87 with Whitesnake opening. Great show.

THIS is the Motley I first loved!!!!!! No strippers with flames shooting out of their asses while they make out. (Not that I have a problem with that in the proper settings,i.e.,a strip club...LMFAO) No 6 Flags worthy roller coasters with a drum set mounted to them. A singer in tune (and shape) who actually orated almost all the words. A backline of just amplifiers and a drum riser, not something PT Barnum may have tossed together during a nightmarish acid trip. Plus they opened with possibly my all time favorite Motley song,All In The Name Of Rock And Roll. They were a machine during this time,(once they flushed their nastiest habits and concentrated on what got them there.) Not that I didn't like the later "Fat Elvis" incarnations ,replete with the circus from hell stage shows, but this was what drew me to them way back when. Thanks a million for this Ally, and Happy Easter to my online brothers and sisters here on BBG! \m/

I have this concert on DVD.
It's pretty badass, just wish they would release an official DVD from any of their concerts/tours from the 80's & 90's.

I have read recently that they are going to be releasing a box set sometime this year.
Featuring what I don't know???
...But I'm hoping it is not 'Music To Crash Your Car To Vol 3' w/only a dozen or so unreleased songs spread thru 4 CD's.

***Has Anybody heard anything about the release dates of...???...

1. Motley Crue's final concert DVD...or...
2. John Corabi's 20th Anniversary concert DVD of the Motley Corabi album.

Jakki, I heard the final show DVD is going to be released this spring or summer, I'm not completely sure. As far as the Corabi thing, I have no clue, but if you've got a minute, look up some recent clips of him on YouTube singing "Poison Apples" you'll be blown away. I'd get both those DVDS instantly. Hopefully the Corabi/Mick Mars album hits this year.

if you want to know how a sociopath is developed, it's thee biopsychosocialmedical perspective.

so when I came to you and asked, "what the fuck is wrong?'

It may have started with mary jacinto and her hording, all the while, ignoring Val's behavior.

May I?

Cathy and I took Val and a few other kids to the beach and we observed their behavior.

We don't make shit up!

Thanks for the info Dj!
You are 100% correct about Corabi still nailing it live when performing "Poison Apples".
I can't remember much about the setlist when I saw Motley back in 94, but I remember he kicked ass.

I'm praying that Mick has Corabi singing on every track on his solo album.
What little snippets I've heard sound amazing.
I will definitely be picking it up as soon as it gets released.

Wow. Had not seen this video before, but recognized the intro music from the Moscow Music Peace Festival intro they used there. That is one amazing setlist. Interesting how "Home Sweet Home" is played in the middle of the set. And Vince really sings! And you can actually hear Nikki in the mix! And when I watch this, I realize that I don't even miss any of the Dr. Feelgood album tracks, and they've always played at least 4 songs off that album live after its release. Thanks for posting this ... this was glam at its very best.

100% agree with Gary. This is when the band was on top. This is what drew people in. Fascinating to watch.

One thing: that inflatable motorcycle at the start had me laughing. So completely out of sync with the vibe even if the idea makes sense. It looks like they went to Party City!

And everyone knows my take on Corabi, past and present. He had and still has a great voice.

Him: just postin' some snippets of the book I intend to write. It's actually an Ode to Tipper Gore in a lot of sense.

The title of my book is already complete (please, no Chinese democracy comparisons), but my book is entitled, "Raising X-Rated kids in a PG society".
