The good is that they haven't seemed, from the teasers they have released, to have sweetened the sound beyond what was _actually_ there (including the obvious backing tracks that already helped to sweeten it live). The bad is . . . well, actually, same thing.
Can't wait to hear classics like "Ick Art My Ert" or "Shout eyaat ee Evil" from the privacy (that's pronounced "priv-i-see") of my Barcalounger.
At least they could have called it Pay-Per-Vüe. For something called "The End," this is sure taking awhile. Not KISS or Scorpion or Ozzy long. But you get my point.
As I am seeing on other sites, some are saying that they did some creative splicing of images from different concerts. Which is just the visual equivalent of the same thing noted above. No matter for me, esp. if it makes for a more fluid overall experience for those who think this is worth PPV.
I don't hate the Crue. I just want it to end. And maybe others can chime in about things they notice in the teasers that speak to the "is it live or is it . . ." issue.
In line with Allyson, wouldn't it just be easier and wouldn't they make more money if this thing just went direct to Netflix?
But something tells me that or similar is where it will go next after this 1 month Pay only run.
HIM!... "Ick Art My Ert" and "Shout eyaat ee Evil" are in reference to Neil's phonetic annunciations of such choruses when he is singing live. If so, "Hahaha!!!", as it's true, he halfas*es his lyrics live almost as much as Joey Ramone would sound singing underwater in the Forest Hills Public Pool!
As far a Sixx and Crüe go, I'm curious to see the movie but I would have preferred to watch it in the movie theater. Shot right, compared to how it's been described in Allyson's post and the Comments here, it would be much more captivating.
Imagine their last show in IMAX where you could almost have filmed it locked off with minimal close-ups, to create the illusion of the band members appearing life size right on the stage! Nothing could be better short of the real thing or halograms. Wait, I may have just given $immons the impetus for his final bid at immortality!
Bkallyday, relevant? To whom? Sure, to us (we are locked in an embrace that you can't deny away). But to who else on this planet? Neil gains more traction on TMZ than the band does on the radar of music generally. We are Neil's FitBit . . . walking the band through the motions that they oh-so-wonderfully spoon feed to us. But they didn't end on top. They ended in a crag in the hill that _they_ built. It is laughable. This PPV is a mad-capped launch into the lunar-sphere. Only the most dedicated will take the bait . . . the rest will do as Jeff suggests.
I never said they weren't relevant at one point. In fact, my post was predicated on that fact. What I suggested is that they _are not_ now,. generally.
So I am happy you tried something. But you didn't really end up making that point work. I give you credit, though. You chose to respond.Thanks.
