Christmas In July

Happy last day of July.

I can't believe how fast summer is going. Soon, the stores will all be stocked with Halloween costumes and the Christmas trees won't be far behind. To that end, The Bomb Factory, a club in Texas, just announced a holiday show with a lot of awesome glam bands including Kix and Slaughter. Hair Metal Holiday goes down Saturday, December 10. Tickets start at $30 and go up to $400.

The Bomb Factory is located in Deep Ellum, Texas (this is near Dallas).

last year's hair metal holiday show was great white, slaughter, l.a. guns, dangerous toys and two local bands. 2016's prices started at $9.71 (local radio station call frequency). it was fun, but very little seating for an aging fan base that doesn't want to stand 7-8 hours. this year, less seating and more bands and no discount price to start. but i'm still going.

Deep Ellum is actually just an area in the Downtown Dallas area. Definitely going to this seeing that I live in the 'burbs near Dallas.

Just curious why King's X is playing? They don't seem like hair metal, although im sure they have a few fans still around. Never got into them at all.

I wonder if Ron Taylor original lead singer of Lillian Axe would show up and perform with Lillian Axe. Now that would be worth it. Last i heard he lived in the Dallas area.

both ron taylor and darrin delatte (ex-axe bassist) live in the dallas area and will sometimes sit in with lillian axe when they roll through.
and yes king's x is a random throw in, but pinnick seems to love playing the club's sister venue (trees), so i guess it is who you know.
