Metallica Release 'Moth Into Flame' Video

Metallica just released the video for "Moth Into Flame." The song is on the upcoming album Hardwired...To Self-Destruct, which is scheduled for a November 18 release. I gotta say, I like it. You?

Pretty darn good if you ask me. This is the type of song that Metallica fans have been asking for.

Let us not forget how bad I've dissed on these guys since I first started shooting my mouth off on here until the release of the first single, "Hardwired", which I think is excellent.

And I like this track, too, as well as the video, though perhaps not as much as "Hardwired".

And, Jeff, though I like "Death Magnetic", for me, these tracks are better than anything on there, so maybe we're headed for an even better album.

p.s. I put up a link under comments on the last BBG! post about Metallica that will take you to YouTube to hear what someone claims is the whole "Hardwired" album leaked in it's entirety. I'm hoping some of you will check it out and tell me if it's for real or not, as I'm not sure. I would have relinked it here but all that heavy lifting of my pinky might lead to carpel tunnel syndrome, haha!! I jest, I jest. But, if you guys don't mind, go back, check it out and then come back here and comment. I would be interested to know what you think.

Didnt care much for their last one but this song is pretty damn solid. Should be a great live song, imho.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Now that kicks ya a little bit. 2:50 mark to the 3:25 mark, play that and that's going to kick ass live. Shortened down to 35 seconds of 2016 Metallica, instead of late 80s Metallica would draw it out to 3/4 times that. The Music interlude, tempo change, and crashing vocals come back in... Just like I like my Metallica.

Seems like a continuation of the vibe from the last song, which is a good thing overall.

But, and I apologize if I sound like I am trying to start up some sort of slap fight, some parts of this song sound downright 'Deth-ish ("Holy Wars" comes to mind). And, right after the intro, they even seem to do a nod to their cover of "Crash Course in Brain Surgery." Neither of which is a problem to me, mind you. A nod to Ginger and to Budgie are good nods in a long career.

Had not heard this song until they performed it on Jimmy Fallon last night, and have to say it sounded really good live. Definitely a more "old school" Metallica vibe to this song. And Kirk is getting to do guitar solo's again, yeah!
