So This Is Getting Out Of Hand

Quiet Riot has ditched their upcoming new album with vocals by Seann Nicols and will now re-record the effort with James Durbin. This means Road Rage will be out in the summer and screws over Nicols too. So whatever. I hope Durbin signed a contract guaranteeing him a job with this band for at least a year. There's no guarantee in Quiet Riot.

And, Bob, while I agree young people don't really care about QR's music, they are at least familiar with it as "Cum On Feel The Noise" is ubiquitous from soundtracks of video games and the countless times it's been played in NFL stadiums. So, it makes sense to get Durbin. Who knows, maybe with him on vocals, they might even get some airplay and PR exposure.
Still, JAT and Bob, you're right, too, about most singers being unable to nail Du Brow's vocals, though Jizzy Pearl did the songs justice when he was their singer.
p.s. Haha!! Very funny, "Funny Gary" and HIM, as usual.
