L.A. Metal Summit In Tokyo Announced
If you've ever wanted to go to Tokyo (like me!) this May might be a good time. The L.A. Metal Summit will happen there on May 13-14 at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall in Chiba, Japan. Some of our favorites like Sebastian Bach, RATT, Faster Pussycat and L.A. Guns will perform.
I think this would be amazing for several reasons, the biggest being that the Japanese love hair metal bands. I expect the crowds to be big and high energy.
You can buy tickets on Live Nation Japan.

I kid. I bet this would be a blast. It strikes me, though, that this would be a great event for Loudness. They certainly deserve all the love they can get. A great band.
"R-orry, mister Him, R-oudness no from Er-Ray. No can come to Er-Ray Metal R-ummitt".
Lol, sorry for the randomness. Ya gotta watch the video from Sam if you haven't seen in last 10,20 or 35 years. WAY ahead of its time. Picture this: A seemingly sexist environment of a woman surrounded by wasted rock stars, ultimately reveals that women often do have THE power with brains, attitude and sometimes looks. This outnumbered vixen is the true master of the throng of rock stars reduced to puddles among her.
Dang, you could teach a class at UC Berkeley with Sam!!! Or will the students need safe rooms and pet therapy!?!?!?!
*****Disclaimer***** This post has zero political agenda. It's meant to exemplify the overly sensitive, litigious and hypocritical society we now live in, now called The Pussification of America (term lifted Ron & Fez radio)
We (or I guess I) miss Sam!!!!! You may now resume your day.....

I need to get more of their music. I like it. A lot.
That said, I was being as elastic as they were by mentioning Loudness. Slaughter was formed in Las Vegas; Cinderella was from Philly; Enuff z Nuff is from outside Chicago; Skid Row formed down the road from Asbury Park.
I know, I know . . . they are _attached to_ (some more than others) the LA Scene. But that is confusing a scene with a genre. If you can have an LA Music Summit in Japan, can't you have a great Japanese metal band as well? The scant info on the actual event, save for Live Nation sites, suggests that really isn't a problem for the promoters.
So I stand by my suggestion. And I have proof that Loudness were an LA Band. MTV aired in LA. Loudness were on MTV. There you go. Not a perfect syllogism (actually more of an enthymeme). But, hey, who cares?
Nice to hear that you are discovering Loudness, Rita. A great band (RIP Higuchi). And nice to see you posting as well.
I give Slaughter a pass because they were originally formed out of the ashes of Vinnie Vincent Invasion and were pure L.A. urchins back in the day even if they were supposedly formed in Vegas.
Rita! If you like Loudness get their 1985 hit album, "Beast from the East", if you don't already have it AND you should go see them at M3... I've seen 'em 4 times and they are out of control and LOUD as h*ll, obviously.
I will buy Beast From The East tonight. Thanks for the tip.
And some good suggestions for other LA bands to be celebrated in the Land of the Rising Sun.
