A Tale Of Two Singers

Look, we're all aging and it isn't 1987 anymore. Still, some of our favorite singers have taken better care of their voices than others. Case in point: Don Dokken versus Jack Russell. The duo sang together on stage Saturday during the M3 Rock Festival. Jack threw it down and Don just faded, and fast. It's kind of sad, actually. Discuss.

But I'm not dissapointed I missed this. I have it on good authority from one of his superfans who recently had a long conversation with him backstage at a recent show that he's still chainsmoking and putting away the Whiskey.
What a shame it is to be blessed by the Metal Gods with such a wonderful voice, only to destroy it with booze and cigarettes.
I am glad to hear Jack Russel is sounding great these days. Maybe Dokken should take a lesson (literally) about recovering one's voice through better living, though one has to wonder if he could ever regain his after so much abuse over the last couple of decades.

Too bad guitarist Mark Kendall can't hug it out with Russell now that he's gotten his sh*t together. But, h*ll, if Tracii and Phil can reconcile, maybe so can Russell and Kendall. Only time will tell.
Regardless, more power to Russell for making a comeback. Let's hope he stays there.
p.s. And, as I speculated earlier, I wonder if Don Dokken could regain his voice the way Russell has or if it's too late.
