Cheap Trick Plans Christmas Album

I can't believe I'm writing about Christmas albums already, but it's officially fall now so the holiday season isn't far off. Cheap Trick will release Christmas Christmas on October 20. Here's the planned tracklisting:

Merry Christmas Darlings
I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day
I Wish It Was Christmas Today
Merry Xmas Everybody
Please Come Home For Christmas
Remember Christmas
Run Rudolph Run
Father Christmas
Silent Night
Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)
Our Father Of Life
Christmas Christmas

"Merry Christmas Darlings" is a new track Cheap Trick wrote for this collection. The band will announce holiday shows soon.

I'll definitely get this. While I'm not a hardcore CT fan, I will say that I got into them and listened to them a lot more after MB's non-stop yapping about 'em. Plus, although I'm Atheist, I love chistmas music and have an ipod dedicated exclusively to Christmas music, which I listen to from 11/1-12/21. .

and as an FYI, on cards, on facebook, on wherever...when someone has an occasion going on in his/her life (birthday, wedding, surgery, whatever...) my salutation is "Have a rock-n-roll...(fill in the blank). I started doing that years ago while filling out my chistmas cards and listening to George Thorogood's "Rock-n-Roll Christmas". Instead of writing, "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" or some other dreadful, meaningless sign-off...I started writing, 'have a rock-n-roll Christmas!. And, from there...my history was made! CHEERS! :)

Ain’t that a shame, their recent album, “We’re All Alright” was released this last Summer too little fanfare, when I consider it to be one of the top releases of 2017.

However, it will be fun to see them in a Christmas mood so I’ll definitely check them out as I am looking forward to hearing their versions of The Ramones’ “Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)” and The Kinks’ “Father Christmas” among others plus the handful of hits and deeper cuts they will throw in for good measure.
