Happy Saturday, everyone!

Red Dragon Cartel (Jake E. Lee) has released a lyric video for "Crooked Man." The song is from the upcoming album Patina.

Don't mind this at all. Perhaps this is the sound of 'a band' this go around (rather than a collection of different songs and singers). Always loved Lee, in spite of his issues. Thought he was a solid member of Ozzy's band (who got screwed . . . but what's new? If you aren't Zakk, it is your lot in life) and had the potential to break big as a solo artist or as a member of one of the post-Ozzy projects. But he sorta' pulled a modified-Bratta on us. The reasons why are murky, but there are certainly a lot of bread crumbs that lead to a couple of plausible answers.

Last tour was a disaster by all accounts, even if the album was a solid collection of songs. I hope he is steady, his singer is ready, and that the wheels don't fall off again. You only get so many second chances, especially when you are a reluctant guitar god making his way in today's musical landscape.
