Happy Birthday Steve Clark

Steve Clark, former guitarist for Def Leppard, was born on this date in 1960. He died January 8, 1991. Through the years, the members of Def Leppard have never forgotten him or his contributions to the band. I think that's something very special and just another reason why I love the Leps.

They sent out the Tweet below to promote a classic concert event airing today on YouTube.

Dude wrote some classic riffs. Tragic loss,as they were hitting the top of the mountain, but he didn't get to bask in it too long. With huge fame come even bigger temptations. .RIP Steve

As the other posters above have alluded, there’s a reason Def Leppard named their first record label “Bludgeon Riffola”, as well as their publishing arm, and that reason is Steve Clark.

May The Metal Gods eternally Bless Steve Clark and God Bless Rock & Roll!
