M3 Adds Warrant, Stryper and Sebastian Bach

M3 Rock Festival is next month. If you pay attention to online comments, it seemed like people were overwhelmingly disappointed with the lineup this year. The promoters paid attention and added Warrant, Stryper and Sebastian Bach. Interestingly Warrant will be on an acoustic set only. Single day tickets go on sale this Friday.

Yawn, yawn, yawn ...

When is M3 going to give us some REAL news like a REAL headliner?!

Attention All: The proverbial “shark” has been jumped on these ‘80’s festivals. Fonzi is drying off his leather jacket. Ralph Malph and Potsie are scamming on California girls at the bar.

We are crossing over into a new era of the post hair/glam era(s). The ‘90’s were grunge alt crap. That music had zero staying power and the early 2000’s found our demographic with a little extra pocket cash. In came Rocklahoma etc in 2007 to incredible financial and artistic results. Ten years later the market is over saturated and it looks tired my BBG friends.

Change is good and inevitable.

Kixchix you nailed it. Fonzie is already back in Milwaukee teaching Chachi how to score chicks by this point.
Whether it’s at a festival, or you move the same exact lineup of bands out to sea with Eddie Trunk Emceeing while trying to look cool in a pair of board shorts (and failing miserably may I add), it’s all been done to death. With pretty much the exact same bands doing it (and George Lynch playing in each and every one of them it seems) 😂😂

While I agree with all of you to some extent, I AM flying in from Phoenix for M3 this year.

The way I see it, my days of going to live shows are numbered. It won't be long before there's absolutely no one left that I want to see perform live.

I'm a big advocate of supporting live music and I see as many of these bands as I can when they come to town. Festivals like M3 are a good opportunity for me to spend a weekend with a good friend who I don't get to see too often and catch a lot of my favorite bands.

And even though I've seen most of these bands a thousand times, I can't wait to see LA Guns, Pretty Boy Floyd, Stryper, Tom Keifer, Slaughter and others. That said, I hate crowds (and people in general), so wish me luck!!

Let's have a hair metal festival of bands that need to reaunite with their original members, and stop with the foolishness and charade that they're on now. You could have Cinderella, Skid Row, LA Guns, Firehouse, Winger, Faster Pussycat, Pretty Boy Floyd, & Tuff. Now that would kill!

Me and my crew already had tickets. So this was a great added bonus!

Ace Frehley, Pretty Boy Floyd, L.A. Guns, Lynch Mob and Faster Pussycat are worthwhile. The rest are crap. And f*ck Eddie Chump, too!

Excellent post, Kixchix.

Though, I must say, as inevitable as change is, it isn't always good!

I have gone every year except the first one. The lineup is still lacking a headliner. The fact that "Queensryche" is closing is a head scratcher. It is Eddie Jackson and Michael Wilton performing a set of music written by Chris DeGarmo and Geoff Tate. They don't touch the last 2 records. It's karaoke. They did not sell out the 1,000 capacity Irving Plaza here in NYC a few months ago, and they hide the fact that Scott Rockenfield has not been in the band for over a year. It's 2 side guys from the band headlining M3?!? Pass.
