Poison Tweets Photos From Tour
Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 08:56AM
Poison and Cheap Trick are on the road together now. Poison has tweeted some shots from the road thus far.
I still haven't decided if I'm going to the Cincinnati stop or not - something I need to determine soon I guess. Gotta say, this does look fun, but let's be honest: Poison is always a blast live.

Looks like a decent, no surprise setlist. I'll still be happy seeing them and pretending time hasn't marched on way too quickly.
Now that being said, "if it ain't broke, you don't fix it" is a mantra I've been hearing for about 50 years now. There's a reason you still hear it, (and it still holds true 100% of the time.) As much as I'd love to hear CC rip shit up on Love On The Rocks, half the crowd would be thinking "what in the blue hell is this"... Like oper8n said, enjoy it for what it is. The soundtrack to the best times of our lives 😎🤘
Still, Poison do know how to ROCK it out! I think the main complaint we’ve all had is the fact they (or probably Michaels, since he has been known to make a lot of dumb calls) don’t need to waste one slot in their set list on covers ... No one came to see them do “What I Like About You” or “American Band”.
If they play the hits plus some of the other cuts off the first two albums they haven’t played in awhile, the crowd will go nuts and Michaels would begin to restore what little integrity he had to begin with.
At least he’s said in interviews they will add “I Want Action” back in, but they can go ahead and put “Cry Tough” back in the mix, plus a few of the others, as well. I mean, how killer would it be if they did “#1 Bad Boy”, “Play Dirty” or “Let Me Go To The Show”.
And, of course, the pipe dream of them doing a new album would be so awesome. I wish Rick Neilsen or somebody would whisper that in Michaels ear, even though it’s obvious the guy is incapable of listening to any ideas unless their really stupid. Well, with the exception of going back out on the road with POISON as opposed to his hick solo band.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but just as Oper8n has pointed out, I do believe what ad comes up is based on your browsing history.
If it was based on mine, it would probably be a whole lot worse, haha!!
I have noticed more banner ads popping up on this site now, especially either between “Comments” or at the end of a “Comment” but embedded in it.
Very nice lady in her sunday church dress 🙄
Whats with the ads anyways?
Using Ghostery and other such apps helps remove the noise of ads. So, on my computer, not a trace of that stuff. On my phone, I got Badland's church dress (what church do you go to Badland?!?!). I am not sure if blocking the ads hurts Allyson in terms of anything. Does it?
On a post-related note, Badland, I disagree. I think Richard Allan Ream has every right to throw out hints, make pointed statements, and push back against BM (great initials). If not for them (the band), BM would be nothing. Full stop. Don't pass go. Don't get the money to cover yourself in horse hair. He acts like it is always a rock n' roll good time with him, all stale set lists, crappy covers, and smacking hands with the front row. Good for him. He earned it. But he earned it because he was part of something. He should at least acknowledge that (and, no, lame press releases that gloss over all the animosity don't cut it).
And, as a person who has a so-so relationship with the music of Poison, why should I care? Because I respect the fact that a band like that matters to people. And I also respect people who give credit to others . . . since we rarely go it alone or make it all by ourselves. It actually tears me up when I find out that bands I long loved have turned cold and spiteful (I know, it is a business). I also know that is on me, since most of the bands I love(d) have done that.
Personally, I think BM knows he owes it to the band. I just think he doesn't care. Instead, he calculates what will bring him the most revenue. And this tour will be a shot in the arm (seriously, no pun intended) once he returns to middle America casinos, letting those good times roll with a band on salary. If BM is introspective, his attitude towards Poison must occasionally hurt. If not, his is simply the cracked smile of Troy McCure (and, trust me, that fate awaits him as his audience base fades and his draws dwindle).
If you can get tix at a reasonable price, it's Nothin But a Good Time for a few hours on a summer evening.
Hope you all have a great weekend.
