'Photograph' Lyric Video

For some reason, Def Leppard just released a lyric video for "Photograph." The film strips are really cool vintage photos of the band from the Pyromania era!

I guess this is another way for the band to promote their summer tour. It's stopping in Ohio later this month. I still haven't bought tickets. I really want to go, but I've seen them so often and I should really save the money... but still. I want to go see them again.

I wish they'd release a version of this song with real percussion and not that stoopid drum machine. Otherwise, this is a flawless song on a pretty flawless album.

Another band that needs to call it a day, already. Btw, Hysteria owns Pyromania!

Def Leppard have 1,000% more musical integrity compared to the likes of Quiet Riot with their 17th lead singer or the crap that Geoff Tate is trying to sell us. Foreigner can play shows with zero original members when Mick is too sick to perform, but Def Leppard needs to call it a day? Please...

You're right, I'm sorry, Tales From Sparkle Lounge was a classic! Lol

You made me do a "Gary-styled spit take" with that last quip, Bkallday! Much appreciated. That said, I wouldn't agree with you on the rest of your observations. But, hey, one point of agreement is good with us, right?

I tend to side with you on this one, Ken. Then again, I also know that in some strange way it is better to have all those bands out there doing what they do. On one hand, it gives us something to criticize. On the other, it won't be as much fun when people like Tate, Jones, and Banali aren't around to be pushed around anymore. A lot of our favorites are one step closer to (or directly entering) the Foghat/Casino Zone that befell bands before them.

Okay, boyz ... This is pretty much the “classic” line-up save for Clarke who has a legit excuse for still not being in the band, so how the h*ll are they a cover band, Badland! Son, I love ya but that’s a little harsh, is it not?

Granted, Elliott can’t belt them out like he almost could back in the day.

Still, they are still worth seeing with the vocals “mixed” and the music as KILLER as ever. I will probably catch ‘em if and when they roll down to Florida.

As far as the lyric video goes, at the very least, it reminds us this is THE BEST song they ever recorded. It’s a little by the numbers imagery-wise but using the Def Leppard logo typeface for the lyric subtitles is SUPER cool!!!

p.s. And BK, yes, DEAD ON ... “Tales from the ‘Flat Matte Lounge’” is one of THE MOST bor*ng slabs of cr*p ever committed to vinyl!

Def Leppard played Side 1 of High N' Dry on the X tour and Ded Flatbird played it again during the 2013 Viva! Hysteria residency in Las Vegas. The night I went they opened with "On Through The Night" and also played "Mirror Mirror (Look Into My Eyes)" so there's seven HND tracks for ya...
