Nice how the guitarist, whoever it is this week, rolls into his solo!
Thank Frontiers for resuscitating yet another seemingly washed up act back to life.
In other news (and sorry to hijack the thread): have any of you heard _Killing Is My Business . . . And Business is Good: The Final Kill_? Holy crap. Aside from the (by now obvious) volume issues on these sorts of things, it is a mighty impressive re-release. "Mechanix" sounds amazing (even on the included and muddy demo) and truly shows what Metallica gave up when they gave the Drunk Ginger the heave-ho.
Say what you will about Mustaine (past, present, politics, religion, employees, summer frolics at his for sale compound, etc.). But this reminds everyone just how amazing Mustaine, Ellefson, Samuelson (RIP), and Poland were . . . in spite of themselves! And this re-release takes the paper thin production of the original and splices it with 'found' stuff from the original sessions. It doesn't overpower like the previous re-release did. Sure, I have my quibbles. But this sounds mighty fine (with a live show included as well). First Ghost's _Prequelle_, now this. Not a bad start to the month.
Him, I haven't heard the whole thing, but from what I've heard so far from the re release of Killing Is My Business has sounded amazing. Im not one for re buying every rerelease but this one sounds promising, especially These Boots.
On another note, have any of you heard the new Dee Snider song Tomorrows No Concern? Dee has a full on metal album coming out July 27th and it's looking to be album of the year!!!
I have heard the new Snider single. Not sure what to tell you. It is certainly better than his last outing. And he has a bunch of experienced, more contemporary, metal guys helping him out. My personal take is that he is a bit lost without TS right now. Others would suggest he dig back into Widowmaker. Me? I'd love something along the lines of _Love is for Suckers_. But I give Snider all the credit in the world. He is a great live act (still) even if he puts his foot in his mouth too often (though less so these days).
