Well, this is the funniest tweet I've seen in the last 24 hours. There's a quality about it that is so... metal. I think it's the cat.

I only worked a half day yesterday because I had an afternoon appointment. While at my desk I listened to a lot of Aerosmith and Queensryche. I've been on a kick again. It's time for me to discover something new for my heads-down work marathons. I'm planning on slamming out some projects today while the office is quiet: a day before a mid-week holiday means hardly anyone will be around.

If you're off today, have fun and if you're traveling, be careful. Suggest me some new music in the comments section!

allyson, I recommend a new band out of Canada called Love Razer, (Note the deliberate misspelling.) They are on the young side, so some of the riffs in their songs are, shall we say, heavily influenced by Appetite-era GNr, but what they lack a bit in originality, they more than make up for in enthusiasm, and really keeping that good time 80s party vibe going. the album is called "Border city Rebels."

Shawn, good call on old Autograph. I had the pleasure of seeing them open for Van Halen back in 1984. they were great. Apparently, they weren't on the tour for long, so I consider myself particularly lucky. Anyway, I hope everybody has a great 4th. My wife and I are waking up really early tomorrow to do a fun run that will culminate with the beer garden and food trucks opening at 8:00 in the morning. at my advanced age, it's the only day each year that I will harken back to my younger days, and drink in the morning. :)

As far as new music goes I highly suggest you check out Animal Drive, they're really melodic and I believe they're on Frontiers. Other than that the two new Halestorm songs and two new Dee Snider songs are what I've been playing lately.
